The Montanas at WSU - Feb 21-23

As a team the Wildcats were 7-of-10 from 3-point range and shot 49 percent from the field, compared to Montana's 32.8 percent. WSU also finished with 14 assists on their 25 made shots.

70% from downtown...from my experience that is considered pretty good for a game!

4 of the games 5 dunks were on #2 Jordan Hasquet. Isn't he the one you got your pic taken with Bengalhater? Let me see if I can find it and post it.

The T-Foul was because Steve P. Dunked the ball in warmups, and hung on the rim. I knew that the local ward had problems with that, but I did not realize that the hanging rule carriered on to the NCAA.

I have a question: Why would the officials even be watching the warmups? It had to have happened more than 20 minutes before the game started because I was there early and didn't see it.

I can only imagine....

The teams are warming up, Panos dunks it and the ref blows his whistle and calls a tech...they all laugh...the refs meet at center court to discuss the call...keeping in mind there is no game even going on...and they decide to tech free throws for UM. I wonder if Rahe and Tinkle were even in the stadium? lol

Did the ref turn and tell the score table the number of the play who committed the tech foul and there was no one even sitting at the table?

I really stand by this statement: Big Sky refs are the best!!!

Here is how it happened. Steve Dunks, The fat bald ref. runs (trots, jogs, walks quickly, most likely everything but runs) to the center of the court blows whistle and screams "technical foul on the tall on with dark hair, in the purple warmups, thurn around son I can not see your number." Every one laughs. The ref then walks over to the MU bench to get paid when Tinkle blows up at him, and says "not until after the game you dumb ____, and besides I am not going to pay you you called it on the wrong guy, I wanted it on the tall dark headed Lithuaniaian." To which the ref gets mad, and then calls a farily even game.

True it was even....but evenly one of the worst officiated games I've seen...which basically is saying nothing since I've seen hundreds of Big Sky games.

Hasquet got straight up posterized twice. Once by Art, and once by D-Will. That box score was beautiful, the scoring was so even. 20 boards for Art? That is nuts. I hope we win out and have a full head of steam when we head to Portland.

I believe we have a chance to go back to the NCAA tournament, which I am going to try and get a bus to go to. It's a FAT chance though! I am still planning on going up to Portland to watch Weber win the Sky. Who's with me?

FAT chance for what?

Whether you put a bus together or not WSU WILL take a bus to the NCAA's if we make it and it's Omaho/Anaheim/Denver.

If you mean a FAT chance of us making it then I guess that is your opinion Bengal. The only team we haven't beatin yet this season is NAU and since we split with PSU I see no reason why we won't make it to the NCAA. We at least have a very good chance.

Or do you mean it's Fat chance that you will put a bus together?

The top of the big sky is wide open. WSU has a great chance of returning to the big dance, with PSU being unable to host on campus should they win the reg. conference, having it at a "neutral site" will give the cat's a great shot.

And now for the sad news that Rahe and the team don't deserve and it is a total disrespect to them.

Attendance for last nights game: 3,429

The team is 8-5 in conference and 10-2 at home on the season and 6-1 in conference.

To have less than 7,000 at that game is a joke! Maybe WSU doesn't deserve to have a basketball team. We don't deserve Rahe!!!

how is a 30 percent increase of attendance from the last game bad news!? The marketing dept is obviously doing a great job. Just look at the improvement!
(i'm being sarcastic in case you couldn't tell)

I think anything less than 12,000 might be a joke
