Hang on, WSU fans, for end of Big Sky's regular season: Jasen Asay

Rahe about last weeks games:

Valeika also played all 40 minutes against MSU.

"What a weekend," Rahe said. "He was a warrior all weekend and a big part of what we did."

"I didn't mean to do that, but once we started going I had a feeling that if he stayed out of foul trouble we were going to need him, the way that game was going," Rahe said. "He's a kid that can play 40, but I don't like to do it. "

Great support

WSU's crowd of 6,061 on mascot night also got into the act late in the game, and earned praise from the home team.

While many of the fans were disappointed that the mascots didn't play in the usual halftime game, the crowd came to life just when the 'Cats needed support.

"I thought they were maybe the difference," Rahe said. "It got loud when we needed a stop or hit a big basket. It was a great college basketball environment and I want to thank everyone for coming out and supporting this team."

I was sitting in the student section a few rows below the portal, and the students sitting there were just sitting on their hands. They were more concerned about what they were doing after the game. At one point I told them to get up and cheer and make some noise, but they just thought that I was crazy, stupid, a jerk or something. At least they were there. Too bad I missed the victory Dew!

Anyone have any thoughts on the way Van Brocklin and Arturas tore it up?

That was an awesome game! Good to see Van Brock have a huge game...he doesn't get a whole lot of recognition even though he starts.

That is what a senior is supposed to do. Step up and be a leader, whether it is a key basket, or a defensive stand. Maybe someone should let Tyler Billings know he is a senior.

Billings was a senior last year.

I became a big van brocklin fan last year. He plays great D and when he shoots, it's likely to fall in. I'll bet when he's in the game wsu averages more points than their opponents than when he's out.

Van Brocklin was awesome this week... He has been playing great lately. The last three defensive stops can be totally attributed to him. He totally shut down Taylor in the second half. By the way, I really thought JP finished the game playing fairly well. However... D-WILL Deserves Praise! He keep Weber in the game in the first half.

i remember watching weber last year and noticing how good he was on defense. In close games, i really would almost prefer him on the floor over dez just for his D alone.
p.s. who remembers when he cut his hand while cutting down the net after winning the BSC last year? that was pretty hilarious if you ask me.

BTW did you all notice how strong MSU finished the season? Losing two at home and one of those to Northern Colorado. They lost at least 4 in a row heading into the tourney. POWER SLIDE!!

MSU is in a world of hurt right now, and having to come in and play the Wildcats is the worst thing that could happen to them. Top to bottem Weber is a bad match up for the Bobcats. Van Broklin has played great D. on Taylor in both games that they played. Taylor will still score points, but it will be on 6 for 20 shooting, and some freethrows. Mbunga is a solid player, and may give McCoy a run for his money for the new commer of the year, but I love the flex zone on him. Being able to shift between Steve and his streangth, and the gaurds and the speed gives Mbunga fits. He has struggled against ISU, and WSU this year, and both teams run that D.

WSU 77
MSU 60

Even though they are playing really poorly right now... I don't think Weber can overlook the Bobcats. They are still a very good team that can get hot quickly.
