The PAC/MWC Dominoes Begin to Fall

Nope.. dropped the option before '22.

Track won’t go anywhere until after NCAA next year, no changes to stadium were ever coming this year besides lipstick.

Gives admins a year to fundraise and build off a hopefully successful season and post season run?

Also gives MW and Pac around 7 months to fight it out.

What NCAA track championship?

Curious if you have info that construction has been delayed because of lack of funding?
I'm just telling you what I heard from someone with ties to CP. I didn't go on a fact finding mission to verify it as I honestly don't care what CP does. I'm sure your football fieldhouse will get built at some point.

That's a nice thing to say, thank you.

I hope you guys can remove the track, and completely rebuild the stadium soon. I am just curious on funding and details.

They moved it!!!! Ustfccca site has a little note about it being moved, I hadn’t seen an announcement about the change anywhere else. West regional next year now at Arkansas, originally was at Sac.

Individual CSU campuses aren't their own legal entity, so all legal issues have to go through the CSU, hence BOT items/discussions. I had it explained to me that each campus has its own legal counsel, but any formal legal matters have to go through the CSU BOT legal entity/counsel for approval. I have no idea how long it would take for an antitrust case against the NCAA to be strategized and drawn up, if there are grounds for such a case. There will be some obvious tells as to whether or not there will be some lawfare:
  1. News will drop somewhere via a "leak" to the media about a pending lawsuit or formal court documents being filed at a favorable jurisdiction, or
  2. There will be movement on filling of the '26 and beyond season with FCS opponents which means no lawfare.
The timeframe of either of those tells is anyone's guess, but I would assume either action will commence in the coming weeks.

Don't these Congresspeople have anything better to do? Make sure our state water supply is secure for the state's future.. Something about homelessness or anything else?

No, Sac Isn't the most prepared to move FCS to FBS our they would have been selected to do so. NDSU, Montana, Montana State and SDSU aren't even going FBS.. and you guys think you are? What is going on here?

I read people on this forum thinking they would choose you over Texas State for the Pac-12. I mean, the lack of self awareness and cognitive dissonance going on here is beyond belief. You thought you had a better chance than Texas State?

"They have performed extremely well in FCS in recent years".. I guess he wasn't counting last year going 1-7 in The Big Sky and tied for last place? Every year recently, except last year he forgot to mention apparently..

First guy mentions Shaq.. he's not involved with the football program, so what does this have to do with anything about football? Who cares? Does Sac have a famous scientist or swimmer we can say will help the football program also? It just doesn't make sense what these people are saying.

We will see how many games Shaq even attends before he decides he's done with it. Bibby? Ok, again nothing to do with football..

No mention of how much money would be needed to get the stadium up to FBS standards either..

This is just getting weird at this point.

It appears your admin and a few locals must be desperately complaining to their congresspeople. Did you guys try to sue your way in yet? You got all excited, put the cart ahead of the horse, insulted the entire FCS football community with "Dr. Wood" calling the FCS "essentially JV football" Haha F that guy.. Wood is "essentially a Doctor." In my opinion.

Wow spandos, you're pretty triggered that the Congress folks that represent this area are taking up one of their constituents' causes. Sounded to me like they were doing what they were elected to do, which is looking out for the best interest of their constituents.

Regarding your "not being prepared" for FBS comments. Yes, yes we are prepared in that we hit every metric required for FBS status. The NCAA's lone reasoning for our exclusion from FBS is the need of a conference invite, which would be fine if the NCAA was a private entity not composed of institutions reliant on taxpayer funds.

I just don't like Wood. I think this entire thing is a terrible look for Sac. I forgot that before your 1-7 season last year in 2023 you went 4-4 in Big Sky play. Cal Poly has been horrible recently, but you guys were worse in conference last year and the congressman is saying you've been playing good football?

I think "Dr Wood" is quack. He's mouthing off and now has most of the FCS hating you guys.. I don't appreciate FCS football being talked crap about by Arizona State Online PHD Kid N' Play. The more I look into Wood and his dissertation and stuff, I am amazed he's the president of Sac State. It's just not impressive at all.. He did get the online PHD in Educational Leadership & Policy Studies with an emphasis in Higher Education, right? How is this idiot your president? Is anybody investigating his brother's involvement in this whole scheme and the new companies he created after the "Sac 12" push related to this fiasco?

So, Wood "clears things up" about his JV comment with this Tweet..

"I think some people took my comments to be a diss. They weren’t intended as such. Was just trying to find a simple way to explain to students who may not understand the difference between FBS and FCS what the big difference was. Figured they would understand the high school comparison. That said, I stand by the comment, because it’s true. Doesn’t mean it’s not great football, it’s great football for FCS/JV."

What a fcking idiot.
