Tourney vs Idaho

This is an incredibly frustrating game to watch. And that Sanders dude with the bleached hair is super punchable.

Thought the same thing when the Griz played them here. Him and Wright were in each other's ears all game but he was throwing a LOT of elbows when the refs weren't looking throughout the game. Hoping the Griz can get some revenge on them tomorrow. Was hoping you guys would pull this one off so we'd have another Breunig vs Jois game...oh well :(

Not sure why, but the attitude of the team was 180-degrees different this year than last. We had to run a team early to win. We always seemed to find ways to lose the close ones this year. Last year, we were great in tight games; completely the opposite this season.

I'm concerned that without Jois or McBroom, we take another big step back next year (as if moving from 1st to 6th wasn't enough). Hopefully some of these young guys really develop and we get a transfer or two.

That was a really good game from both teams, EWU couldn't shoot or rebound, but stayed on the safe side of foul trouble and just nailed their free throws.

I think the team under-performed this year as a whole, but better than many years past. Bogdon should have 2 more amazing years ahead.

McBroom and Venky are the two departing senior starters, Kyle Reid being the other SR on the team.

Next year should look like
Bliznyuk
Sir Washington
Felix Von Hoffe
Julian Harrel
And some big FR/SO to step up and fill Venky's big shoes.

Those 4 starters have a lot of experience to build a core team around.

If I look at it correct, we were 1-5 this year in games decided by 5 points or less. Our only win was against USF by 4 in a game we were up by 11 with 2 min to go. We really struggled in tight games, really struggled

Tough way to send out the seniors.

Jois probably goes down as one of, if not the, best Eag bball player...Hell of a career and he brought us from the cellar to the promised land. Thanks for everything Venky!

Tough night for Austin, 0-10 in most likely his last game, damn...He had a great year for us, just a tough, tough night tonight.

Definitely an up and down season, with a rough finish losing 5 of 6. Thought we had a shot to win this tourney, but on to next year...

TomQ,
I think we have some promise coming off the bench next year. A couple I've noticed are
#22 Rico Nuno is a little bigger than Venky
#34 Jesse Hunt looked pretty good when he got more time late in the season.
And if coach decides to play defense the entire season rather than just the last couple of games we should have a lot better record.
