He announced his intention to transfer via Twitter yesterday. Weber's semester ends today. To me, it's a fairly smart move. I'm guessing he's headed DI; most likely the team we are playing tomorrow night. Just a haunch. I wish him a lot of luck and hope he has a great career; especially against Randy Rahe.
Can't say I watched him play a lot but he did play well in the two scrimmages and has a nice looking shot. He was under control and fundamentally sound. Not the quickest but wise. To me this is a loss and revels some serious issues with our basketball program. He saw the writing on the wall and decided to leave earlier than most. By the end two more will leave.
I'll argue that Randy's first team is better than his current team and that that team was definitely lacking in talent. Who cares if you have all the talent in the world if you can't develop it or if it doesn't know how to play the game. To me, once again, this is proof that Randy is killing his legacy in favor of retaining dead weight assistants.
