TV Games??

So far all I know is Altitude will broadcast our away game against ISU. Does anyone know if FSMN will pick up anything? I guess this is what we get for getting our asses kicked at home in front of empty seats? This is the first year in a while we haven't had a few home games broadcast.

I won't speak to what the situation is with Altitude, save for I know they cram a lot of different games on the air on Saturdays. I've got that schedule somewhere for this year, so I'll try to post it later.

The FSRM games in the past were possible because of payouts by UNC and the other school.

It would be cool to watch the UH game though I doubt it will be available. I will be plugged into the internet listening to Troy from out here in Maryland.

In other disapointing news, Big Sky TV is no more.

I thought Altitude had a contract to broadcast like something like 2 home football games, 2 home mens b-ball games, a volleyball game, a womens b-ball game, and a baseball game....

Maybe it expired, but I thought it went through like 2010

Big Sky TV is only a temporary loss, from what I hear. The company that was partnered with the conference has multiple things tied up in probate court after it's leader died earlier this year.

Here's what I could dig up on the Altitude deal:
"Altitude Sports & Entertainment (Altitude) and the University of Northern Colorado (UNC) today announced an exclusive, multi-year cable telecast agreement to present live UNC Bears sporting events on Altitude. Shelly Harper, Senior Vice President of Programming for Altitude, and Dr. Bob Heiny, interim Director of Athletics at the University of Northern Colorado, made the announcement.

Under the agreement, Altitude will televise annually a total of up to ten Bears events. To kick off the agreement, this upcoming 2004 football season Altitude will air two games: Idaho State University at UNC, September 18 at 12:00pm MT; and Southern Utah University at UNC, November 6 at a time to be determined.

Further Bears programming includes men’s basketball games, winter and spring sports highlight specials, as well as other intercollegiate athletic events."

That was the official word from UNC in '04; nothing on length of the deal...

Any word on a timeline for a new provider?
