UC Davis

Not the greatest performance but not shocking. UC Davis is very good this year.
We had a couple of chances to potentially tie or win that game, but the truth is we needed to play an almost perfect game to do so. I thought the defense played really well in the 1st quarter but them reverted back to blown coverages and giving up big plays on the ground. Also, the offense didn’t do enough in the first half, and when they finally got things going in the 3rd quarter it was basically too little, too late. Also didn’t think we needed to go for all of those 2-point conversions which left an additional 3 point off the board, along with the missed FG and the missed XP. Factor those in and you’re looking at a one possession game late in the 4th instead of a 10 point Davis lead.
