This is not getting any press but UNC volunteer wrestling coach and Greeley native Shane Carwin scored a first round K.O. in Saturday nights UFC event.
It was a pretty sweet fight, his opponent was highly touted and favored Gabriel Gonzaga who got in a good early strike on Carwin, they pressed up against the cage, disengaged and Carwin blasted him with a short straight right and knocked him clean out. It was over in about a minute and a half.
Anyway, that's his fourth straight win in the UFC and he is 11-0 overall and a real up and comer in that divison.
