UNLV tailgate

For all you bear fans making the trip, are there any plans or suggestions where to go for a pre game drink? Leaving Friday morning and getting excited for the game and hoping to see many of you there.

Bears and Brews Happy Hour (4:30pm-6:30pm): UNC Alumni has secured a private event space at Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville in the Flamingo Hotel as an opportunity to come together and share your Bear Pride before heading out to the Strip for the evening. Admission is FREE but guests are expected to purchase their own food and beverage; only the private space on the Strip is provided. Address: 3555 South Las Vegas BLVD, Las Vegas, NV 89109

Bear Fan Fest Tailgate (3:00pm-6:45pm): You’ll know you’re in the right place when you find the large UNC Flag! Game tickets purchased through UNC Alumni will be available when you check in at the tailgate. Included in your packet will be your game tickets, one beer ticket (per person), and one buffet wristband (per person). The Alumni Association will be providing water and soda at this event and there will also be a cash bar. The RSVP buffet will be open from 4pm-6pm. If you did not reserve for this, I am sure you could come and spend your money at the cash bar. Address: 7000 E. Russell Road, Las Vegas, NV 89122

Bears Football! UNC v. UNLV (Kickoff: 7:00pm): Anyone who purchased tickets through UNC Alumni will be in Section 105 adjacent to the player pass tickets. We’re behind the Bears’ bench.

Already in Vegas, its 105 degrees, drink lots of water folks.
GO BEARS!

How close is the tailgate to the stadium?

It is in the Tailgaiting lot on the North side of the stadium. Near the bus parking. They said to look for the large UNC flag.

How was the alumni turn-out during the weekends events? I certainly could hear the Bear faithful for the TV coverage.

I estimate about 50 at the Friday night gig, 150 at Tailgate and 250-300 after game greeting players as they boarded the bus to catch their flight back to Greeley. Great energy from our little group in a 40k seat stadium and high morale post game as many encouraged these young men for their hard work and improved play. They deserved that win and are going to surprise some people this season. Lets cheer them on to victory next weekend. GO BEARS!!

That's about as big as our average home crowd...

Just kidding, let's win some games and the crowds will grow.
