• Hi Guest,

We've updated the site to combine all the forums that were part of the Big Sky Fans Network into one location. This will make it easier to navigate and participate in all the discussions for each school without having to have multiple accounts, etc. We are still working out some tweaks but please let us know if you notice anything.

With the migration, in some circumstances, your username could have been merged with one of your other usernames from the other forums. If this is the case, you can request to change your username in your account details page of your profile.
  • Hi Guest, want to participate in the discussions, keep track of read/unread posts and more? Create your free account and increase the benefits of your eGriz.com experience today!

Updating the Dee Event Center

The planter boxes and etc in the parking lot are taking up room, and it is really a pain in the butt for snow plows, flow of traffic, and etc.

But it looks so classy!! Hell at least Weber has a parking lot. Thats more than what Utah or Utah State can say. We need to petition the University to save the Victory Tree!

THE VICTORY TREE!

Never forget The Tree aka The Victory Tree...

The Tree was discovered in 2003...many of us students which include some members on this board as well as some others that have since been long forgotten spent many nights at The Tree.

Parking by The Tree became a tradition that started during "the year of the Jermaine". After each win, us students involved with parking by The Tree each game would celebrate after each home win with a "Victory Dew". Winning 17 in a row that year provided for a high caffeine intake.

Since then the "Victory Dew" has sadly been fading away but it will never be forgotten nor will Jermaine Boyette who led our team to a 26-6 record, 16-0 in conference and a 12-seed at the NCAA tournament. The 17 straight wins was the 2nd longest winning streak in the nation when it ended. Only Kentucky had won more.

We still park by The Tree to this day but where it is located and if it will be revealed will be up to Bengalhater and Talhadfoursteals to announce....

Also, I strongly recommend that some one request Bengalhater to post on this board how he "marked" The Tree last year which ended with a 911 distress call just hours before the Big Sky Championship game and also ask him to post the link with the Signpost article that describes the whole fiasco!!!

The Victory Tree has been in exsistence since the 2001 season. A gathering of Sigma Chi Omega brothers found and marked the tree, along with a BULL. Anyway, since that time patriots of Weber State park their cars by the tree at games. When Weber is on the road the tree has been the venue where these patriots come and listen to the game, eat brats, and drink DEW!! Tomorrow Night the Victory DEW will return. Damnit Bengalhater bring the RED-Cooler I'll split the dew.
