Wazzu takeaways, next up is Sac State

I thought the first half was decent. The offensive line was opening holes for the running game, but Knipp still seems to adjusting to this offense.

Sac State is pretty good this year, and I saw that they held their own against Arizona State. I would like to see the Bears get more pressure on the QB. I still say this game is a toss-up, but we seem to not have much success in Sacramento when we play them there.

From watching the WSU game on TV it is obvious that we have a very poor zone pass coverage scheme. Their receivers were wide open too many times and coupled with our inability to put pressure on their quarterback they tore us up. Maybe with less skilled opponents that won't look so bad when we play Big Sky teams. It looked like our offense is not using the pass very effective now since we seem to not be able to stop the rush. Maybe we should use one of the other quarterbacks that could run bootlegs and roll outs to get some time to get the receivers open while not getting sacked. Maybe even an option run once in a while might be worth a try just not repeating the same up the middle and the wide out pass every play.

I was looking forward to getting into FCS play to see what this team can do but another trip out west and to Sac State who seem to have a damn good team this year is not really what this team needs right now.

I just can't watch this. It`s like they play prevent defense from the outset and every offensive play seems like its designed to get 1 yard. It's just not worth more of my time.

First chance to see them this year. The long nightmare continues, I can no longer watch as there is nothing to get excited about except for the latest GPA scores. Sad what has happened to this program.

Just though oh yeah UNC is playing, checked the score, 43-0... threw diploma in the fireplace... logged off... fuck these guys...

Wow, the program is in such a sad situation. This has got to stop. I was gonna go to the USD game but I think I’ll go hiking instead. You couldn’t pay me watch this pathetic team. It isn’t like we are playing Notre Dame...it’s Sac State for crying out loud!!!!
