o I believe PSU finds itself in a conference with whom it can barely relate to anyone else's experience with the exception of that of Sac State.
o I believe Portland supports only winners and will come out for a show of talent.
o I believe things are too "fieldy" green and white at PGE Park, that there needs to have a splash of bright color to make things more exciting to the visual senses.
o I believe there is a ho-hum feeling out on the field because we lack bright colors to off-set the green and white (field colors) and there is little in the way of organic, grassroots support for the team which translates itself into healthy fan expression: there is a constipation of the emotions; there is a lack of emotional fitness and legitimacy because we are not yet where we need to be. We are still in a developmental league. As such, we need to Udoka-ize our efforts.
o I believe an invitation from and acceptance to the WAC will solve a lot of our problems and will turn on the spigot of our collective emotions. A stronger feeling of legitimacy will then naturally follow as well. We will then feel more like our true selves as we come in to the company of more accurate set of fellows. Our progress as a university has been artificially thwarted since the 1950s. We have not been allowed to grow naturally, according to natural market forces. Rather, we were treated politically as the feet of a Chinese woman suffering from having them bound.
