SUCK IT GB'10. lol@ your comments on our board

As you will all notice I told you on page 2 of this thread he would blame the refs....

What a game..............

GB'10=LOSER

Our Freshmen just beat your (5) 5th year Seniors.

We knew this was coming. Stay classy WSUnPurple.
Classy? How's this for classy.

"I hope your dump of a stadium burns down with your entire ****ing team inside. **** you, **** your team, **** your university, **** your God forsaken state. Oh, and especially **** Scott Bamforth.

Also, you're still not better than us. The refs were ****ing you guys the whole game and you still needed a fluke miracle to win. **** you again."

You can find this little touch of class on our board, courtesy of gobears2010.

Anyway, what a great game. Beitzel's a hell of a baller. Good luck the rest of the way. Maybe we'll meet up in the tourney.

Damn GB2010, maybe you need to take a 30 minute breather before you post after a game.

There's a rivalry a brewin, Bears fans That was a great game, with a miracle shot at the end, GoBears I really dont know where your hatred is coming from, its just a game, you were the one coming on our board and telling us we had no chance, well we won, I know its hard to swallow, but its just a game you need to man up and move on.

Agreed, I've posted a mea culpa on your board. Y'all caught the brunt of over a decade of sports heartbreak from my end. I'm a Vikings fan, I think you know how that's gone for me. Though I'd rather play pretty much anyone but Weber in the BSC tourney, you guys always seem to break our hearts.

* I collapsed face-first on the floor. My roommate started dry-heaving. My other roommate screamed and put a dent in our door. Yep, I'm sure many of you had pretty much the same type of reactions after you saw the Bamforth shot go through the net….

* What a ball game. This one lived up to everything and more. I expected Weber State to come out and throw the first punch after last week's game. And they did just that, jumping out to a 9-2 advantage. I expected UNC to play hungry, knowing that they had a chance to cross off another milestone off their list by winning for the first time at Dee, and they did just that….

* It's pretty simple. The Bears can go either two ways right now, this loss can throw them off the tracks and leave them stumbling to the finish line. Or it can make them even hungrier and lead them to play with more of an edge in hopes of winning the Big Sky. It will all start on Monday, when they have a quick turnaround and face a dangerous NAU team who possesses more talent than anyone in the conference. If I know this team like I think I do, I think they will be ready to go….

* Frankly, I thought we did what we needed to do to win the ball game in the toughest arena in the Big Sky. While we weren’t perfect, we kept our turnovers down (9 to be exact), won the rebounding battle, and shot a very solid 44% from the field. Sometimes that’s just the way the cookie crumbles. Although Weber State has been decimated by injuries this year, they are far too well-coached to go completely under. While I don’t expect them to finish in the Top-2 when the regular season is all said and done, I do think they get the 3rd or 4th spot, and are a team that no one wants to play in the conference tournament….

* Which leads me to tip my cap to Weber State. I know this board had a good back-and-forth smack talking week with the Weber fans, but give credit where credit is due. The Wildcats have established themselves as a consistently-good program, even in their “down” years; it’s hard to ever imagine a Randy Rahe-coached team to ever go .500 or worse in conference play….

* This one is tough on the Bears players, no doubt. But the one I really feel for tonight is Coach Hill. From what I heard on the post-game interview on KFKA with Troy, he was disgusted with himself for the how final seconds went down. I think we all forget that B.J. is basically a freshman head coach. Just like with freshmen players, head coaches have their own learning curve, and I think tonight will only help him. I’m sure he will have a difficult time sleeping the next two nights, but the man has become a great head man in just a mere matter of weeks, and after heartbreaks like this, it will only make him stronger….

* It’s always easy to second-guess, but my guess is the next time the Bears face the same situation in the final seconds, they will make it a lot more difficult for the shooter to make the catch….
* What can you say about Beitzel? Monday night will have its own intriguing storyline of Cameron Jones vs. Devon. Who I think are two of the top three consensus Big Sky Players of the Year.

* Also have to give daps to Emmanuel Addo. It’s just fun watching this dude develop.

* Tough one, Bears fans. No two ways about it. But tomorrow is a new day. And I leave you with a quote from the legendary John Wooden….

“Players with fight never lose a game, they just run out of time"

Yeah this loss could be the best thing to happen to them, they weren't going to run the field and this can be a motivator.

But just looking at facts we played back to back and blew them out at our place and they needed a half court shot at the buzzer to beat us at theirs so IF we were to meet at a neautral site I like our chances.

No it's not, we get Lillard for 2 more years. You guys better Win Saturday night it will be your last chance for several years. Wildcats by 15. Lick yourself gb'10.

Love your optimism WSUnPurple but I am not sure your team can back it up though anything can happen once they tip it off.

Out of curiosity, why do you think WSU got smoked in Greeley, and why will it be different on your home court?

I didn't mean to ignore you. Did you get your question answered okay?

WSUnPurple - you sound like a class act. Face the facts. Right now there are only two good teams in the
Big Sky, Montana and UNC. All the other teams need to improve a lot to get in their class. Weber lost to
each by 19. I doubt the home court is worth 20 points. If the Bears continue to play with same defensive
effort, the Wildcats simply don't have enough offense to match the Bears.

Are you 100% sure about that?

GB2010, ya gonna blame the refs again after Weber stomps the Bears Sat night.

For the record, the whole refs thing was a knee-jerk reaction. We lost that game because Taylor Montgomery was hurt and our other post players let that stiff Steve Panos score 29 points.

Also, Weber hasn't "stomped" a Division I team yet this year, with their biggest DI win being by 13 at home over a really bad Sac State team, what on Earth would make you think they're going to start now?

Weber is 0-7 this year against the RPI top 150. UNC's RPI is 132. That's bad news for the Wildcats.

you have alot of knee jerk reactions don't you

All i'm' gonna say is: the wsu team i saw at Butler-Hancock last week was one of the worst teams i've seen in the BSC in a long time. We could have beat them by 40 and probably would have if we weren't heading to their court this week.

bottom line, all those wsu posters will get real silent by about 10pm mst tomorrow night.

where ya at Bearcub........the silence is deafening

Time to sober up guys, I have a feeling you're about to get smoked again Monday night.

Sure did. Miracle 3 pointer at the death is what it took to beat UNC at the Dee. If it comes down to that, UNC wins 9 out of 10 games, I'll take it.

A good rivalry is what our 2 schools need. I don't like the trash talk but it just goes to show UNC isn't a bottom dweller. UNC program is doing very well, it really was just the first few yrs of D1 and now you compete with anyone.

I hope to see another rematch this season. Third time around is where these games get really fun in my 10 yrs of Big Sky games.

Last night reminded me of 2004. We were picked to finish 1st but ended up 3rd or 4th. When the team that hosted, EWU, came to The Dee. We pulled off a miracle to win. Johnny Hamilton our career 3 pt record holder hit 5 3's in the last 5 min and was basically invincible and we got the win.

I don't know how Bam made that shot. 10 games ago Hughey made a half court at the buzzzer at Tulsa but we still lost. 2 yrs ago Kellen McCoy made a half courter at Long Beach to go to OT but we still lost. I think last time we have won with a half court was in 94 at Utah St.

You know, I can't really say it any better than Cee Lo Green:

Lok at the free throw totals in the second half, they guys in the striped shirts were Weber's best players.

Really? If you're going to post a classy YouTube video for us...here's one for you:

I agree, a conference loss was going to happen. It's nice that we can go into "the toughest" place to play in the big sky and do what we did. Weber needed pure luck to win that game.
