I've walked this board through the idea of this coaching staff going out and getting a QB during the preseason. Feel free to dig up those posts (PSU game thread I believe).
Conklin is true talent. Coaches need to surround him with talent and our offense will be fine next season.

Agreed. This was a game the Hornets should have won. Bobby did a bad job of not mixing in runs, CP defense keyed in the pass rush all second half. Untimely turnovers were the difference in this one.

Conklin has given two games away at least, with fumbles that lead to opponents scoring the winning score.
If he transfers out, no loss.

Disagree w you on that. Talented freshman needing a good QB Coach and an OC building a playbook and calling the right plays at the right times!
He’s been hurt by a weak OC making last second play calls in addition to OC’s lack of creativity on offense. Very Basic playbook in my opinion.

God bless you all who are still watching this shitshow. Jody Sears' worst team would roll this heartless/gutless bunch. Fresques is officially the worst offensive coordinator I can remember since following this program.

The kid does not protect the ball, how is that idiotic? That’s called cut your losses and start building again with all new everything. Top to bottom.
And then they lose to Wulff and company.
You people get too hung up on the past and what other programs are doing. They have a senior laden roster with the best RB in FCS. We're going at it with a redshirt freshman quarterback because our projected senior starting quarterback quit. Anyone expecting no fall off and no mistakes with Conklin at the helm is not living in reality.Bobby F should have been Conklins QB Coach rather than an incompetent OC.

Bobby had a sub-par game plan today. I get that we have a lot of 2nd and 3rd string players starting on the offensive line, but the running game still needs to be utilized, if anything to keep the defense honest.
This season was toast the second KB quit on this program. Anyone retaining the lofty expectations with an offense that was thrust upon a freshman quarterback is not rooted in reality.
Conklin makes mistakes, it's going to happen. He will learn from it and move on. And yes, a loss to Wulff is embarrassing, no other way around that.

What's crazy is we literally have the perfect example six years ago in our own program of how fast it can turn around when you hire the right person. This staff is overmatched every week,

He has led to fumbles that led to a pick 6 game winner and now losing the ball that led to the winning FG for SLO.
ETT also is to blame, cost us a drive. Pathetic this once mighty offense delegated to a FG dual.
Not sure why people think we can't get back to that with this staff (at least with Andy and Bobby). Changes to the coaching staff will need to be made, but the guys at the top should have one year to right the ship.
That was a terrible penalty by ETT. We had at least a FG on that drive.

So this staff put all their eggs in the basket of an up and down QB who is made of glass.... and they are then shocked when it doesn't work out? Again, that's ON THE COACHING STAFF.
