Week 5: Sac State @ Weber State

Weber State (1-3) started the season off with a shocking win against SFA but has been terrible ever since and has not scored more than 7 points in any game since. They have faced tough opponents (Utah, Utah State, McNeese State) and all of their losses have been on the road.

WSU Stats: http://www.bigskyconf.com/custompages/football/2013/stats/wsu.htm

WSU has not had much success in anything so far, but it looks like they run the ball slightly better than they pass it. Their defensive numbers are awful but again their schedule has been brutal. On special teams WSU has yet to attempt a FG but their punter looks to be very good.

It’s really tough to see where this WSU team is based on the level of opponents they have faced but if the Hornets somehow get it together and take care of business I think they should win. However the Hornets have never won in Ogden so they will have that looming over their heads.

Go Hornets!

We will get manhandled in Ogden. but will fight to not lose by a blowout score.

Weber 45
Hornets 35

The 1-4 record should be enough to get that contract extension for Sperbeck.

I've been reading Weber's web site and they believe Sac to be in a meltdown and expect Saturday's game to be a sure thing. Not one good word about Sac except to say how inept we are.
If their comments don't fire up the Hornets, nothing will.

We have been a laughingstock since we joined the conference; this is par for the course.

What website have you been reading? There is not one comment on the Weber board saying Sacramento State is a "sure thing," most comments are saying that it is a MUST win for Weber, not a sure win for Weber. Not one good word about Sac? Read the topic again, cause there are also no good words about Weber.

Time to predict the score for the game this week! I'm 4-0 this season, which unfortunately means I have been picking against the Hornets. :ohno:

Well I don't see things changing this week.

Sac 31
WSU 41

I no longer care about the score of games this year. I just wish someone would start an over/under on the number of stupid and unwarranted celebratory dances Osagie Odiase will do this game. I have the over/under at 6.5 given what I saw last week.

If the staff has any nads at all, the total should be ZERO...because Odiase has been suspended. But since we haven't heard anything about that yet...let's set the over-under at FIVE....

If ever there was a year to grab a win in Ogden it would be this year; unfortunately this is also they year that if ever the Hornets were going to win a game, they would find a way to lose.

Hornets 21, Weber State 28.

Saffron's back to start the 2nd quarter and over-throws our WR for an INT. Great............still no offense for either team altho Weber's moving a little bit now.

Saffron just hit Carter in the left side endzone for a TD - 15 yarder. Good throw and catch. Hornets lead:
7-0 with about 1 minute to go in the half.
