Week 6: Sac State @ Southern Utah

Good throw there by Safron. Norrise grabs it on a huge 3rd down with a huge pick up. 3 straight good throws by Safron. Hornets on the SUU 30. Another huge 3rd down pick up. Hornets in the redzone. 1st and goal Hornets at the 2 after some tough running plays. TD Ellis. Hornets pound it in!

PAT good. 27-22 Hornet lead with just over 9 mins left.

Offsides negates a great kick coverage. That's the 2nd one today. Hornets get a TB. Defense needs to step up here. Defense forces a 3 and out!!!

Terrible play call on 3rd and short. A draw on 3rd and 2. No way SUU even remotely thought a pass was coming there. SUU gets a great punt return and have the ball on at the 50.
 
Hornets get a sack on 3rd down. SUU to punt on 4th and 8. Poor punt, Hornet ball on their 25. Offense needs to win it here.
 
3rd and 2 for the Hornets. Hornets get the 1st down, fumbles it, but recover. Huge play. SUU will need to burn their TO's with under 3 mins left.
 
SUU has 1 TO left. 2:24 left 2nd and 8 on theur 39. A first down ends this. Busted play action gets nothing. 3rd and long, SUU burns their last TO. 2:18 left.
 
This team plays with a lot of heart! Safron sucked it up at halftime and had one hell of a half! Props to the coaches and players. What a game!!!!
