WEEK 9 NORTH DAKOTA

Weber must win @UND for any realistic playoff talk, to think otherwise is foolish IMHO. I, too, would like to see a rivalry week realignment even though I don't enjoy the thought of Weber becoming the ISU of a lopsided rivalry, and something I see as a real possibility. I might be in the minority but I'd much rather make the trek to Pocatello in November to watch a game than to Cedar City.

MY PREDICTION FOR UND/WSU...
I think that UND has a defense that is slightly better than WSU's.......... UND +3
The offenses are an even match................................................. even
Home field advantage ............................................................ UND +4
Score: UND - 30 WSU - 24.

I hope I am wrong. If Weber is to make me wrong it will depend on how well they play in three areas.
1. Clark - is not a great passing QB but Weber needs him to pass well to have a chance to win. He
does seem to be a winner. He just finds ways to win. He has to have a strong overall game and pass
like he did in the 4th quarter at SUU.
2. Weber's defense must perform better at stopping the run. Better than they have in any game this
year. UND averages 219 yards rushing per game and Weber averages giving up 218 yards per game.
Gotta hold them under 200 yards rushing to have a chance to win.
3. UND is good at getting interceptions. Clark has to throw accurately and avoid them...

GO WEBER! It s gonna be a close and fun game, I hope...

If anyone needs a little reading material at work....

Make or break week for WSU and UND! Grand Forks, ND makes Ogden look like VEGAS! Nothing here except for the Indoor Football arena connected to the indoor water park!! But I have to admit the Football Arena is AMAZING! WSU is 20 years behind when it comes to facilities compared to UND or NDSU. WSU better be ready to strap on their helmets. UND is the first team in the conference that they are playing that actually has a winning record. Yes, amazing after five conference wins none of WSU opponents have a winning record. The game will come down to whether or not the WSU defense will be able to stop the UND run game. The WSU run defense has been suspect all season beginning with the first game of the season against USU who's run game ran over WSU's defense. No containment on the edges all season. After 7 games lets see what kind of run defense WSU brings to the Arena against UND. Lose and WSU goes 5-3 and has no chance of making the playoffs. WSU wins and they are 6-0 in the conference and the Wildcats are on their way to the playoffs Thanksgiving weekend.

Take another pull on whatever you are smoking and rethink what you just said. :wall:
Give the guy some freaking credit. Don't see your ass traveling to Grand Forks. This board could use more posters like ncaa. So damn boring around here most of the time.

have to face the facts. UND has the number 2 rushing offense in the Big Sky only behind triple option Cal Poly. WSU has the number 10 rush defense in the Big Sky. WSU has the No. 1 pass defense in the conference because teams just need to run the ball against WSU to win. UND will make WSU stop the run and UND will continue to run until WSU's 10th ranked run defense can stop them. UND is big and physical. Here's to hoping WSU's run defense is up to the task! Perfect conditions inside the Arena, hopefully WSU can score a lot of points. Hoping it's not a close game, Hintze WSU's kicker is 4 of 11, which is right behind the pop warner level of accuracy. WSU needs a 7 plus win season to get to the Playoffs. UND learned that the hard way in previous years.

Aside from the ever-the-critic ncaa or the positive glass-is-half-full olds (both raise some good points), today's game will be a reality test especially for the Wildcats. It likely will not be a 1 QTR of wake-up good play game WIN. Coach Hill on UND: "They do a good job in stopping the run and they do a good job running the ball. How we combat that is going to be absolutely critical in this game. A lot of it is who's going to handle the situation the best."

Got to just say I really like a couple of great names on the opposition side: HC Bubba Schweigert & QB Keaton Studsrud. :-D :thumb: Have a feeling they & the rest of The Fighting Hawks will be geared up today. But hope it's not a win today for them. :coffee:

Hopefully Weber comes out strong. I think this is a coin flip with the nod going to the home team. That said my heart says Weber wins. My head says North Dakota.

Going with the heart and hoping our kicking game doesnt screw us. Weber 28 - UND 24

Great job by Jadrian standing tall in the pocket and delivering that strike to Denby. He's playing winning football lately.

Jadrian looks extremely confident out there.

That 2 point play was diarrhea.

:agree:

They do look like a competent team out there so far. It's refreshing, I hope they can make the right adjustments at half and keep it up in the 2nd.

The defense is playing great. Let them throw the ball, just gotta contain their running game and so far we have.

Keep it up Weber.
