Week 9: Northern Arizona @ Sac State

Even though Sac State isn't a true pass-heavy team, if I was on your coaching staff, I'd keep picking on NAU's suspect defensive backs. 30 yards for pass interference calls in that drive alone. Ouch.

The Hornet's suspect kicking game rears its ugly head as well.

The Hornet D hasn't been any better.

Nash with a sack followed with a personal foul.

D holds them to a FG, and thanks to a worthless kicker, the game is tied at 20 instead of a Hornet 1 point lead.

Sperbeck has abandoned the run.

WTF!?!?!?!

The defender stood over NAU's QB and made some kind of arm motion. I can understand why the call was made. That doesn't mean I think it was the right call, though. Incessant on the field shit-talking gets old but I will counter that by saying that a whole lot of the joy is taken out of the college game anymore.

Wow Hornet D stuffs a 4th and 1. Impressive stand.

Hilliard gets nothing. I see now why Sperbeck abandoned the run. Edwards arm strength looks questionable at times. 3rd and long.

This is fun. Wish I was in Sacramento for the game.

Both teams are flawed but have some talent. Evenly matched.

Bauman is pwning the D.

TD Bauman. Game. Season.

Fleming warming up on the sideline.

Not if NAU's kick coverage team and defensive backfield has anything to say about this.

Ouch. Was that miss on Diniz or on the line? NAU announcer said it was hit by someone's big mitt.

I don't wish this kind of ongoing bad luck on anyone. No matter what people say/think, kicking is not as easy as it looks. Feel sorry for the kid.
