Week 9: SAC (4-4, 2-2 BSC) @ EWU (4-4, 3-1 BSC) 11/01 1pm PDT

Halftime

SAC 28
EWU 13

Hornets have 267 yds rushing in 1st half, 283 total yards
Hammond 14 car. 190 yds 2 TD's
J. Smith 1 car. 45 yds TD

Hornets are 5-8 on 3rd Down. EWU is 1-8 on 3rd.
SAC Defense limited the Eagles to 118 yds of offense.

Only blemishes are Williams pick that lead to 7, the fumble by Campbell on the reverse run that lead to a FG and the late fumble by Williams on the QB run and the FG with no time left.

Got to clean up the turnovers. Only 2 penalties for 10 yds in the 1st half. That was nice to see.

I think if Williams is honest with himself, he would say he's been given a fair opportunity.

Marion should take this opportunity to see what else he has, while the defense is playing well.

A scoreless 3rd quarter. Well, it just wasted 15 minutes for them and now the Hornets get the wind at their backs for the final quarter.

Another turnover on downs! The Hornet D today has been absolute nails when they needed to be and deny the Eagles another score.

5:57 remaining

Final Score

SAC 35
EWU 13

Total Yards: SAC 391, EWU 278

Hammond: 22 car. 208 yds 2 TD's
J. Smith: 12 car. 117 yds 2 TD's

Hornet Defense had 5 sacks for a loss of 69 yards while the Hammerheads did not give up a sack today!
SAC improves to 6-7 all time at Woodward/Roos Field.

SAC is now 5-4 and 3-2 in the Big Sky, keeping their playoff hopes alive.
At PSU next week who is leading Cal Poly late in SLO, looking for their first win of the year.
