Welcome Back IDAHO--VANDALS

I'd love to see Idaho join the Big Sky again. Probably won't happen, but I'm not really sure what they'll do if/when the WAC folks. I think it's a pretty legit concern. No way would they survive as an FBS indie. No one worth a hill of beans is going to come to the Kibbie Dome.

Thing is, UI has a pretty proud football tradition, so if faced with the choice - would they rather move to the Big Sky and renew the old rivalries, or drop football? Seems like cutting off your nose to spite your face, especially when they'd be able to maintain Division I status in all of their other sports.

I'd like to take this opportunity to officially welcome the Univeristy of Idaho Vandals back to the Big Sky. You really haven't been missed, but it will be nice kicking your Vandal A$$es again. I give the WAC one year before it is officially dead.

They beat us 8 of the last 10 meetings I read recently.

I found this today. According to this report the Sun Belt expansion guru has been talking to La Tech, but La Tech hasn't been talking to the Sun Belt. Interesting... The article does do a nice job of showing why the WAC isn't a viable conference anymore. They are losing their cash cows, media revenue, and post-season revenue. La Tech needs to get out so that they can survive. I'm guessing the same thing goes for the other WAC schools. AS for TExas St. and San-Antonio they will be fine, the Southland will continue to feed them. I wouldn't mind the Sky taking Denver, but unless they have football, let them go back to the Summit.

Yes, they, the Vandals, have beaten us 8 or the last 10, but Weber does have a winning streak against them right now. Could they beat us now? NO.

No to Denver, UND, USD or any DIIs.

Interesting stuff. I'm still really hoping that Idaho can eventually come back to the Big Sky -- even if they first have to drop FB for a few years. I don't know what's going to become of USU. Too bad for the Aggies that Utah and BYU have always conspired to keep USU out of the old WAC and the MWC.
