I've always thought 6 wins is a pretty low bar to be considered a successful season. Not that 7 wins is hugely better but thats the best we can hope for.
I would be SHOCKED if we get a playoff invite, grateful but still shocked.

As far as playoff predictions go, EWU will either be the last team IN, or the first team left out, that’s my opinion. But what team in the FCS would want to play EWU in the first round, NO ONE, LOL! There you go playoff committee

This is what I heard Larry talking about post game as far as playoffs. The last 2-3 teams are based on what saves the NCAA $$$ in travel costs(not neccessarily the better record). Kinda the reason we got screwed a couple years ago. He mentioned San Diego gets that auto bid and EWU and a team from Louisiana(can't remember which one) and another team from somewhere could be the last 2-3 considered to get invite. He said is it cheaper to send San Diego to Cheney or to Louisiana? So perhaps by some wierd formula we have a small chance conversly along the lines when we got totally screwed over.
*Wonder how many teams in the FCS that lead the nation in total offense never made the playoffs? My guess not many!!

Interesting. So we had losses to a nationally ranked P5 school, and the number 4 & 6 seeds. The Idaho loss won’t be looked at favorably and probably what keeps us out.

UND has 4 losses and EWU has 5. UND played 11 games and EWU played 12.

The lesson?

Better to have one less game in a 12 game season if it means having one less loss.

Not sure about that. Want to say in 17 Eags were 7-4 and didn't make the playoffs.. Just didn't beat anybody this season and had 1 bad loss. Don't speak "committee" so have to believe a 7-4 UND with wins at SHSU and UC Davis just looked a little better despite the head to head and a loss to Idaho State. Not to mention, they are joining the MVC
