What impact are the Blazers?

Will the Blazers suck up all media attention and spendable sports dollars in the city and leave nothing for PSU?

They don't already suck up all the attention? Well, almost all...

You have to have faith that the market is big enough to handle multiple sports... especially with Portland's growth. Portland, as a pro sports market, is about the 2nd or 3rd most UNDERSERVED market in America. There's money to be had, and the Blazers have an upper limit on how much they can really pull in (ticket prices can only go so high, arena can only expand by so much).

A good PSU season ticket is $85 for 5 games VS $100 per game for a good Blazer ticket.. I don't see it being a problem... As stated before PDX is big enough to have two sheriffs in town. In fact if PSU strikes a deal with Comcast as the Blazers have done it will draw attention to PSU and be a very good thing...So more traffic via Comcast to the Blazers=more traffic to PSU football and hopefully PSU Bball as well.

Sounds like more reason to kickoff before 3 on Saturdays in November.

No later than 1:30 if you're smart IMO.
