You are right those are "possible wins", but then again we should have beaten Weber and we saw what happened there. Sac State had EWU on the ropes last week and let them up. I think we will beat Davis and finish 3-8. With a pathetic 12 wins in 5 years Collins walks. After all he keeps saying when its over, we will have had a good season. I don't know what he sees.

Losing attitude breeds failure, and the football program reeks of it. That's what's holding us back, no one in the program seems to give a damn and its frustrating.

Because to him, W/L aren't the only thing in life. It's getting kids graduated and making sure they're not in jail.

Then why even bother with a football team? People graduate and not go to jail all the time. Funny story, there are a lot of schools that graduate their players and not send them to prison and win some games.
Hell, if we wanted to see more kids graduate we could shutter the program and use the money on academic facilities and programs to keep more kids out of jail and graduating.

Let's be honest UNC as an institution needs a complete leadership reboot from the top down, Monfort... the president who's name I can't even remember she's so worthless and all the way through the athletic department.
As an alum I've never had any less reason to care about UNC athletics or otherwise. They have failed us, zero reason to care, I'm mailing it in at this point just to mirror what the football team does every week.

If he were a true marketing guy, he would understand the benefit of a strong athletic, especially football program. Winning football programs bring in massive amounts of donor dollars along with attracting attention to the Universities. Schools actually see increase in enrollment across the board, not just with athletic students, when they have winning seasons, especially with championship seasons. Dunn obviously skipped this in school, and has failed to follow up with any type of education in this department. UNC, Norton, Dunn, Monfort, the whole lot of them, are all missing out by allowing a subpar coach and subpar staff to continue in their employment year after year. This harms the entire University, the professors, the student body as a whole and the athletic department. This football program serves much more than providing an education to the 100 or so athletes who participate on the team as well as entertainment to the fans who support them. One day, those in charge will wise up and truly understand how they have sold the entire community short by allowing this to continue for as long as it has.
budbear said:I just had a call from UNC the other day, maybe you got one also if you contributed to UNC. A student athlete made the call thanking me for being a donor and asked if I follow UNC athletics. I told him that I do indeed and that I was unhappy with the direction of the football team. I mentioned that as I watch the football games on the Internet and I notice that there are hardly any students in the student section of the stands. He told me that the students don't really get excited about the football games anymore. I told him that they need a new coach and he said that there are a lot of people that say the same thing. It is so sad that the students of the school can't even support this mess and are missing out on the fun of going to one of their schools' fun activities. It's these activities that gave me fond memories of my days at UNC and probably why I am a donor today.
