Who will draft Cooper Kupp?

Cooper Kupp had a historic career at Eastern Washington. His 6,464 receiving yards are the most ever in Division I. His 73 receiving touchdowns are a record-setting mark as well.

Kupp undoubtedly benefited from a pass-heavy system and from having a talented quarterback in Gage Gubrud. But he also has the skills to become a reliable NFL pass-catcher.

Kupp's performance at the NFL Scouting Combine can go a long way toward addressing any concerns as to whether he has the athleticism to be a starting wideout in the NFL.

Michael Thomas has a similar build (6'3" and 212 pounds) to Kupp, who is 6'2" and 205 pounds. Last year, Thomas ran a 4.57-second 40-yard dash at the combine. While that isn't an otherworldly time, it was a solid showing for a player of Thomas' size.

The New Orleans Saints selected Thomas in the second round of the 2016 draft, and he appears to have been a steal, catching 92 passes for 1,137 yards and nine touchdowns.

If Kupp can flash similar speed in Indianapolis, then he should emerge as a Day 2 candidate.

Hope it's the Cowboys, just like his dad!!

God please no.

Anyone except the Cowboys, Broncos, or Skins.
I am ok with the first two, but the last one...they line up about as bad as the Browns...wouldn't wish that on anyone.

Coop looking good so far at the Senior Bowl!!

That is a sweet clip!

Based on his work during practice, this article says he's getting interest that could propel him into the first two rounds.

Pretty cool article: http://www.philly.com/philly/sports/eagles/20170125_Receiver_Kupp_a_record-setter__will_Eagles_be_interested_.html

The receiver has already worked with some of the best quarterbacks ever. Because his grandfather played with Archie Manning and remains friends, Kupp has worked at and been a camper at the Manning Passing Academy. He said he caught passes from a couple of guys named Peyton and Eli.

The first time Kupp ever spoke to Peyton Manning, he was telling him to run a specific route.

"He comes up and says, 'OK, I want you to take an angle inside the 6, I want you to push it up to 12, double stick, hit the near upright, and I'm going to hit you at 44 yards,' " Kupp recalled. "I run it, I go back and watch the film afterwards and he dropped the thing at 44 yards exactly."

Interview with Coop [Audio Only]: http://www.seniorbowl.com/news-highlights-detail.php?news=598
(Jan 11)

MLEagle,
I have looked at the Senor Practices the last two days, and Coop is getting along very well. They even interviewed him yesterday. He really looked great running his routes, and again today. I noticed the Rams are on the list for Wide Receiver. Just hope some picked him. I still remembered our Wide Receivers we have had, some went to CFL, and some stayed home. I am hoping for the "BEST" for Cooper Kupp. He deserves everything he get, he works very hard. He is constantly working on his routes, etc. Will watch senior Bowl this weekend. "Go give them hell COOP" Vic E. Wallace

I know, I know.... it's WAY too early for innaccurate draft projections....
But I just couldn't help it.

I saw a picture of Cooper with Jr Adams. Could he have been there as Coop's personal coach? Does that happen at these games?

The senior bowl attracts coaches, scouts and GMs of every NFL team and has also become an important networking opportunity for college, pro and out of work coaches. A lot of coaching interviews are done this week and a lot of college coaches that want to get into the NFL or move up to a bigger conference go and network. I'm sure Adams is on the recruiting trail in th south and is taking the opportunity to be there when his star pupil is dominating the senior bowl. It elevates him and when he's successful at WKU maybe one of the power five conferences hires him as OC.

Awesome article and tweets about Coop and his Reece's practice performances here, and a clip of a great catch! It's awesome to see him getting the love!

Coop has really impressed this week and his draft stock is rising. If he can run his 40 sub 4.55, i think he goes no later than end of the 2nd round.

Awesome seeing Coop getting his due, but obviously no surprises from anyone in Eagle Nation. :thumb:

ESPN draft analyst Todd McShay called Kupp the “star of the North practice on Wednesday” and said he has boosted his stock more than any other prospect this week. ESPN NFL analyst Matt Bowen called him the “most productive receiver down here this week.”

If Kupp keeps turning heads like this, he could become a second-round draft pick -- if not higher.
