Worst Officiating Ever

I mean was weber supposed to lose?? The officiating was horrible in the EW game. EW went to the line 27 time compared to webers 13.. i know a conspiracy theory is just floating aroung but there now is another game at the dee because of this loss. more money at the dee for the big sky. i know we came out flat and 23 turnovers doesnt help our cause any but come on. its hard to get something goin when every 2 seconds the whistle is being blown. I mean im startin to believe this whole conspiracy thing maybe true...

Ya, i never thought I'd live to see the day when I would want Buzz Cut in the building. That short, scrawny white ref was the worst. I hope this was his last Big Sky game.

There is no way refs can be that bad without doing it intentionally. There was the appearance of a fix.

It is also fair to say that even if the game were not fixxed, we would have lost. It just would have been a closer loss. So, if one or more of them did put the fix on, they didn't have to.

Blame this loss on the 23 turnovers as much as anything. And as far as a conspiracy to get an extra game at the Dee for the money, that money won't be coming from me. After the last two years, I won't be attending anymore conference tournament games. Conference tournaments are exactly that, a money grab for conferences, and a way to give undeserving teams a chance to go to the big dance. If the conference cared more about sending their best and most deserving team to the big dance, and less about the all mighty dollar, they wouldn't have a conference tournament.

The refs did suck, but I agree with Oldrunner, Weber played terribly last night. No energy, sloppy ball handling, etc.

I sure hope this is part of Rahe's evil little scheme - make the team hungry and energized by getting the crap kicked out of you by a team that has a losing record. Has this team already peaked? I guess we will find out on Saturday.

DAM YOU PAUL PARAZZI! THROW AWAY THAT DAM NEW ORLEANS VOO DOO DOLL! NOT THAT I BEIEVE IN VOO DOO, BUT I DO BELIEVE IN SUPERSTITION. YOU MAY HAVE STUCK THE DOLL WITH NEEDLES HOPING THAT SAC WOULD'VE BEAT UNC, IT HAD A REVERSE EFFECT ON WEBER... DON'T DO IT ON SATURDAY.

EVERYBODY GOING TO THE GAME "DO NOT WHERE THE SAME CLOTHES THAT YOU WORE LAST NIGHT!"

I BLAME THE LOSE ON WOOPIE CUSHION GUY, WHO CAME TO THE GAME IN A SHIRT AND TIE.

I agree. weber did come out with no intensity except for a little run, other than that, just bad basketball. I can also respect you choosing to not go to the game as it is just a a grab bag of money every year. I wanna know what the BSC did the years weber was not so good and didnt play in the tourney.. anyway nothing we can do now about the loss. I will still go to the game to support the cats but it kinda puts a damper on the whole thing.. we had a great turn out especially for a wed night, so i was pleasantly surprised to see that. Hopefully they all come back on saturday, even if there is a conspiracy, we play to win and i want a packed house cause there isnt anything we can do about it now so lets get a W

First off, the Eags got to the line far more frequently than the Cats, and not only did they get to the line more often, but also, the timing when they did get to the line usually put an end to Weber's momentum. What I found really peculiar was that Eastern was literally holding Bamforth the entire game, but a foul was never called, whereas, Weber barely touches one of the eastern dwarfs and a fouls called. Wow...a lot of the TOs were from Eagle aggression...like when glen knocked down richardson to get Forbes a wide open layup.

Yeah...it's fair to say that the refs definitely decided the outcome last nights game.

Actually, watching the game reminded me of a part from the Shawshank Redemption where the warden tells Andy Dufrane that he is going to "take him out of that one room Hilton and put him down with the Sodomites, he'd feel like he'd been phuqed by a train." I think thats what Weber, the coaches, and the fans felt like after last night. Yikes!!

As for Saturday's game... HELL yes, I will be there. I don't care if its a conference tourny conspiracy, IT's STILL WEBER STATE BASKETBALL (wow, I just pulled an allcaps purplebangleturd). I wanna watch my Cats, and besides, heavens its like 10 bucks.

you'll be there and you know it, you won't be able to stay away come tipoff.

I watched. The officiating was bad.

Sooooo, where's the news, again?? It's bad EVERY game in the BSC, and yesterday's wasn't any better or worse than any other game, and $hitty calls went both ways, just like every week in the BSC. Criminey, Montana's game at Eastern was literally decided by a blown call. That's life on the road on in the BSC. Face it, if you turn it over 20+ times and you're blaming the officials for the loss, you don't understand basketball.

Well we shall see. It's just hard for me to get past my dislike for conference tournaments.

Yes if you turn the ball over 23 times you will lose but, it doesnt help that the officiating was awful. I dont think anyone is sayin its the refs fault we lost. It wasnt a 2 point loss, we killed ourselves. But when we had our run we had 0 turnovers and no fouls called on us. its hard to get somethin goin and get into a groove when your afraid to play physical becuase of the calls. Either call everything both ways or let them play..
But i will be at the game. I like the feeling in the building come tourney time. Gets your heart pounding :D

Its in my Top 5...Two games at BYU, the game at Nevada, and Boise State in the early 90s are the only other games that were worse in my opinion. This game was that bad. I've never seen an officiating crew try so hard to favor a specific team.

yall thought wed was bad? this game on now is much worse.

I agree! The first half of that game was almost identical to wed game. They just would not let them play. 20+ fouls were called in the first half alone. What is going on with tho officiating? Luckily they let them play in the 2nd half and we got the W
