WSU Basketball - Anthing & Everything

I can see that this debate is pointless and will never end. Of course the WACK & Big Sky don't compare, the fact that one has Div I-A football & the other has Div I-AA football should be enough to not discus which is better. I guess u think the Big West is a great conference...that is cool for you! The 'Sky & Big West have gone back & forth over the years in RPI if u haven't been around very long. The 'Sky definetly didn't have a great yr last yr but it doesn't matter, only thing that matters is getting to the Big Dance.

This isn't football, thats what makes college bball so much better, doesn't matter what ur ranked or who u played. Just matters if you win ur conference...or if ur fortunate to be in a conference like the WACK u still might make it with out winning it all.

As far as next season, doesn't matter who u recruited or who we recruited. There is only one player of concern - JC Carroll. U should know better that WSU is on the rise with Randy Rahe at the helm after all he is a Stew protege, u didn't know he coached under Stew for 13 years?

Like I said before the only thing WSU needs to stop to beat the Aggies next yr is JC. Looks like he is goin pro Woooo Hoooo!!

WSU is 14-13 in Ogden vs USU n 8-19 in Logan, next yr's game will b in Ogden.

Hey guys I'm glad you got a message board finally, Weber is the only other team in the state I cheer for. I hate the U and the Y of P.

Don't be fooled into thinking Jaycee won't be an Aggie next year. He is doing the same thing that Fazekas and Coby Karl did; which is, don't hire an agent, go play in the pre draft camps to get some exposure and learn what aspects of your game you need to work on to get drafted and then come back for your senior season. Jaycee is an amazing player but needs to become a better ball handler and defender to play in the NBA. He will be back in Logan next year cause he will not be a first rounder.

I think Weber will have a good team next year and I think they have a solid program. Randy Rahe has brought the same style of play to Ogden that he helped Stew hone in Logan. I just don't think Weber will beat USU for the reasons SeldomSeenSmith gave you guys. USU has bigs to go with Jaycee this year. Imagine what he'll be able to do with some bigs that can play. Stew has a lot of young talent and will have some scary teams in Logan over the next few years. This year's team, on paper, has the most talent of any team Stew has had in Logan. Now the trick will be getting them to gel. If they gel the WACK is in for a long season.

I wish Weber best of luck in basketball and I hope they beat everyone else in the state with the exception of USU. I hope you guys can win the Sky again and go dancing. Good Luck.

40aggie rules! Thanks for not hate'n on our team like Seldomseen seems to do! lol

It will be awesome if JC goes pro but I'm sure he'll be back. Infact he should, I think his will be the first number retired since the late '70's at the Spectrum if he finishes padding his stats by playing his senior yr.

USU is gonna dominate the WACK next yr with Carroll. I honestly think it won't matter who is on the court with him, thats how good he will b as a senior. If you remember Jermaine Boyette for Weber in '03 that'll be JC next year.

Oh I forgot to mention, as a fan of WSU, USU, & Utah or I guess anyone who beats those other guys who live in Provo, I can't believe they aren't embarrassed for being to afraid to go to Logan next year to play basketball.

Seriously...

What is up with BYU-Provo not going to Logan anymore...are the Aggies really that intimidating? BYU-Provo thinks they r better than basically everyone they play...y aren't they up for the challenge? USU aint exactly Duke n UCLA...

Ran into Dez Harris the other day, he said his hand is getting better, and that he thinks they will be a better team than they were last year.

Starting 5 for next year: Dez, Jp, Daviin, Tyler, and Arturas. Has anyone seen the new recruits and how do they look?

Haven't seen how the newbies look but I'm excited about our guards and Daviin. I think they will be the best back court in the conference this upcoming season!

WSU men's BBall team will be going to Canada in August (I do believe) for a week or so to play against several canadian team. What a great start that will be for the upcoming season. If anybody hears any new info on this let me know.

Maybe having a close game with a DII isn't so bad now that #8 Mich St lost to a DII and so did Ohio St who is just outside of the top 25.

#20 Kentucky lost to Gardner-Web last night. GW finished 9-21 in the Atlantic Sun Conference last season. Kentucky is the winningest and greatest program in NCAA Div I history!

There were a number of huge upsets last night!! It was a thing of beauty... It did make me feel better about Weber's game on Monday night. Maybe we were just overlooking the Skymutes in anticipation to Saturday's game with the Ag's.

It's too bad that Seldomseensmith no longer comes on... However, I will admit that after Weber State, I'm an Aggie fan next, but when they play the Cats...SCREW THEM... Purple Power will reign this season. Just because you have some height doesn't mean anything. Weber State beat Michigan State in 95 and the tallest player on the team was Andy Smith at 6'8" and in 99 when we beat North Carolina, and team that had four 6'10" players on it, Andy Jensen was the tallest at 6'8". By the way we have Drew Arnold 6'10", Trevor Morris 6'9", with Panos, Billings, and Art all back. Montana from the Big Sky did beat Nevada two years ago in the Big Dance, oh yeah that team beat USU!! The WACK isn't that great and neither is the Moutain West...As for talent, thats right Stuckey was a first round pick and he played on one of the worst teams in the Sky.

I am sure JP will play tomorrow but have we heard anything official that is he in? Also on Drew has he been given clearance to play yet? Can someone tell Davis not to hurt his wrist dunking this game. They have been spectacular but I would take a great dunk without him having to leave the game. I wouldn't be suprised if his wrist is black and blue.

Any word if JP started practicing this past Wednesday or not? Can we expect him to play? Anyone go to the practices or talk to the team?
