i dont think i agree with you. having a not so great team this year is an irrelevant point. its nice you knew our team wouldnt be good in advance. i guess a congrats is in order? thanks for notifying us we wont win 7 games now that we are 0-5.

even if we finish 0-11 i realize having played 2 fbs didnt matter but i am still against it. i still dont want 2 fbs whether we are 0-11, 11-0 (and beat 2 fbs) 9-2 or 5-6. no to 2 fbs period for any season.

those of us that are against 2 fbs, are not against any fcs, mcneese is the type of game we need on our schedule and wildcat is right the 2 fbs didnt matter this year if we cant beat ewu and mcneese. losing to ewu and mcneese are the team's fault, losing to the fbs are not. the whole being against 2 fbs isnt just about this season.

I'm coming around to your way of thinking about this. I just don't know what we would do to replace the money coming into the program every year. It ssems that it takes money to win and that it takes winning to bring in more money. So, what comes first?

Look at how long it took Utah State to get back in the groove. They were hemoraging money for the longest time. Now, winning is starting to attract more resources to the program.

Maybe we just have to go through a dozen coaches, or so, until we find a winner. For now it's "Oh no, We suck again"!
 
i dont know the athletic dept finances. the only way i can tolerate 2 fbs is if im told it is the only way to keep the football program.

That's exactly the point. It absolutely is. I don't have the full breakdown of this season's finances, but I'll see if I can track down the breakdown Norm Tarbox gave me from the 2009 and 2010 seasons, so I can show you an example. I don't like it any more than you or AJ, but it's a necessary evil, so let's stop heaving the blame on Jerry Bovee.

Just found it. I have a full summary of the football program's revenue and expenditures from 1987 on.
I also have the totals of 2010 and 2011's advertising/sponsorships and football guarantees. So how the heck do I upload a file onto this, that you guys can view it?

i hope so bad that you are wrong....this makes it even worse/depressing. i dont think i was being to critical of bovee, i am a big bovee fan. but 2 fbs totally griz's!!
