#11 Montana at #5 EWU Game Thread

Congrats to Montana. What a great game.

The best part of this whole thing is we have two weeks to rest and heal up before the PSU game.

Haha.. They are passing the torch!

Great game! Good effort from both teams. Hope the Grizz fans make it home safe and have a good rest of their season. Also hope they were treated well in Cheney... And realized that we have never had a "meth" problem, as some fans have somehow dreamed up on eGrizz.

Go Eagles!!!!

There was some really strange irony when the commercial for the Montana Meth Project came on in the middle of the game.

-Edit- #1 is going down. 23-3 with 2:32 left in the game.

What's funnier is how some of our fans got so worked up about it. There has never been a meth problem at EWU, or Cheney for that matter. So why get so irritated by it.

I had a prior commitment and wasn't able to watch or listen to the game but their board is saying that the refs lost them the game. can anyone confirm/deny this?

They had an obvious TD called back. On the very next play they had a sure TD that bounced off of one of their receiver's hands in the endzone. The call may have influenced the overall complexion of the game but it's hard to say it cost them the game with that much time remaining and the fact that they would have still been trailing.

Big Sky refs are a problem every team has to deal with at some point. I remember in the 2011 game in Missoula Bronson getting into the endzone not once, but twice, and it not being called a TD. The next play Mitchell throws an INT and the rest is history.

Sometimes these refs blow some big ones but it's a problem that all BSC have to deal with universally. You have to be good enough to beat the other team AND the refs.

I agree 100%. It was a frustrating missed call but only one play in the game.
