#2 EWU at #14 MSU Game Thread

Just a question - has EWU actually been guilty of any of the flags thrown against them, or is just home cooking Montana reffing? You know since all the refs are from Montana.

I assume you're watching? What do you think?

I haven't seen much too bad. Johnson clearly stepped out on his KO return. Other than that, nothing jumped out to me as terrible.

So how many TO's are we going to need to win this game?

We'll see what kind of adjustments are made at halftime on both sides of the ball, but I think winning this game boils down to 1) Executing better on offense, and 2) Getting more pressure on their QB and doing a better job on assignments. The plays where we have held contain, we've done ok against Prukop. And I think we're going to need one, maybe two more TO's that we get a score off of.

I think we should stop turning it over...

Lets try some of this on them though.

The excessive celebration call was complete garbage and gave MSU great field position on their next drive. There's also been a couple other questionable calls, such as the phantom false start. Overall, I don't think it's been the difference in the game at all. Vernon Adams having an off day has been the difference. My expectations for the defense are very low at this point, so I am actually pleasantly surprised that we've been able to get a couple of to's and stops.

Never thought I'd say this, but Baldwin may want to think about putting West in the game.

Maybe for a series if he's still struggling, but it's highly doubtful that he plays this bad in the second half.

I don't know VA is totally rattled right now. Thank God for Forte or this game would be really ugly.

Like I said, I think if I'm Baldwin I'm giving VA a shot to see how he responds to open the second half. He's earned. Now, if he keeps struggling, I think you need to give West a shot to wim the game for us.

You guys crack me up. We give up 30 points in the first half while trailing by 3 and you are worried about the QB.

Yes the false start was questionable, and the celebration call, no idea I didn't see anything but TV doesn't show those well.

So I have defended this defense all year but I take it all back. It's not a player thing it's a coach thing. They do the same thing ever play. Makes it simple for even an average OC.
