#2 EWU at FBS Toledo Game Thread

Any injury updates? I am tracking that Rodgers will be out until at least the Weber State game. Anything on Bronson or Kupp?

Yes, Rodgers is out indefinitely. Bronson practiced this week, as did Kupp but the word is neither travelled with the team. Wilson out with a shoulder injury. My guess is all three should be available for the game against Sam.

In all honesty, I would prefer any banged up players sit out this game and be healthy for the Sam Houston game. Toledo is a big game, but Sam Houston is much bigger.

Man, that is a huge hit but hopefully he can make it back in time for SHSU. I would imagine two weeks might be enough to re-hab a hip pointer, but I guess you never can tell with these things. Without Kupp in the game Toledo should be able to hone in on Hill and Clark a little more. The other receivers (Mitchell, Bomber, Johnson, Bourne) will really need to play to their potential. And of course, VA just needs to be VA. I think he got greedy a couple times last week.

Bigger in the sense that SHSU is an FCS game, and beating them would go a long ways towards a good seed assuming we can take care of business in the Big Sky. That said, a win in either game counts towards playoff eligibility (we only have one of those so far), and neither is a conference game. So all in all, they're about the same IMO.

Yes, but the OP lists ESPN 3 and Gameplan. Is one different than the other? I don't have access to ESPN3 since my cable provider doesn't offer it.

The MAC streams home MAC games for free on their website (http://www.mac-sports.com/Schools/Toledo/LiveStreaming.aspx). So that link SHOULD work for free for anyone and everyone.
Thanks for the heads up, TR! :notworthy:

I saw a pic from inside the plane on Facebook. Pretty sure I saw Kupp on board... I could be wrong though.

Hmm, is it possible that he could be with the team but not suiting up?

I would think so, especially considering it's a charter flight, but they may have needed the roster spot.

I thought he was fine and only got pulled last week as a precaution???

Also, VIc said in another thread that Bronson practiced all week. Where did this info come from?

EDIT- Nm, disregard. Reread the OP.

I expect this to be a very good game. I really don't see them taking us lightly being an FCS team as others have. I expect they saw what happened in Oregon, and are taking that to heart. I expect a very hard played game. I am looking forward to it and hopefully I can stay awake for it...damn graveyard shift.

As long as we play smart, accurate and keep the penalties down, I foresee good things.

Yeah, I saw that too.

Do we know if this link will stream the game?

Century Link certainly doesn't have an agreement with ESPN3 :( , I'm happy to come meet any of you on a whim if you're offering a house and beer to watch a game :)

That SHOULD work, but I haven't tried it this year. For basketball and football last year, the MAC streamed all MAC home games for free. Sometimes it was just the feed from the video board at the arena/stadium (which means you would see "D-Fence" or "Make some noise!" come up on the video since they would show up on the video board at the actual game). Sometimes it would be an actual TV broadcast. Just depends on what is available.
