So far the following players have recieved offers:

1. Collin Woods, AZ

2. Jordan Baker, AZ

3. TJ Taylor, CA (Oakland High)

4. David Collette, UT (Murray High; wouldn't it be nice to get a top Utah recruit?)

5. Jonathan Holmes, TX

Thats not a bad thing. Juan Anderson is really good friends with TJ Taylor. I have a feeling that he might follow TJ wherever he goes.

I like where this recruiting class is headed. Its looking more and more likely that Weber is going to end up with, at least, two quality guards, a wing, and a big man. My prediction is that Weber gets, Baker, Taylor, Collette, and a wing. I really want Woods too.

I don't think Keane was offered because Weber made an offer to Collette (Murray High).

AJ Price, 6-2 160, Guard from Texas has been offered. San Jose State, Santa Clara, Wichita State, SMU, and TCU have also all offered. Along with these schools San Diego and Providence are looking at him. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uvZ_SJHkJpU

That means Rahe and Co have made 8 offers, five of which are guards. Does this mean that one of our big three recruits aren't coming? Or is Rahe looking at Price as more of a Wing?

1. Collin Woods
2. Jordan Baker
3. TJ Taylor
4. Jonathan Holms
5. Juan Anderson
6. David Collete
7. Mike Brown
8. AJ Price

Hey, George will Mike Brown also be an instant Missionary? Do you know? Also, and this is purely to satisfy my curiosity, but how do you get this local information?

Mike Brown has some highlights in this reel.

Also, has anyone heard anything about the Box Elder kid, Mecham. I know that he was playing in pickup games with USU and Weber players this past June.

Most don't feel that Mecham is D1 at this time, not quick enough to play the wing. The 2011 class in Utah hs ball doesn't have a lot of players who are considered Big Sky and above, but there are some, like Brown, who are showing up real well this summer in AAU ball, so there may be a few more than were projected.

As for where I get my info. A number of places available to most. I just really enjoy following recruiting, seeing how coaches like Morrill and Rahe put together a team, like a puzzle. Over the years I've learned which JC coaches are willing to share information on recruiting. Know of blogs, websites, etc., and most of those guys share. I got the info on Brown from the Utah Pump N Run website. I enjoy talking recruiting and sharing information about it.

Alan Williams 6-7 260 North High School (Phoenix AZ), has been offered by Wizard and Co.

These were comments posted on Woods and Baker (both 2011 offers) from ASU analyst on Rivals:
Collin Woods -- It's been a very mediocre summer for Woods, a player who had a chance to place himself among the top recruits in the state this off-season. In the two games we observed Woods play last week he had one made field goal and one assist. And from speaking with others in attendance at his other games, they didn't really go any better. Woods was playing a team with some very good talent, and he clearly wasn't playing up to that level. No ASU recruit in the class saw his stock take a more severe hit than Woods, and while it appeared going into July ASU would be willing to take his commitment, it's doubtful that remains the case.

Jordan Baker -- His play in the last week reaffirmed our opinion that Baker is getting under recruited and has been in the last year after missing most of his junior season with a broken bone in his arm. Baker needs to play with a great sense of urgency at times, especially on defense and transition defense, but he's a very good passer with great vision and has a terrific handle. He also can score the ball after breaking defenders down or pull up for jumpers, and he's a very good spot up 3-point shooter. He has good length and can play off the ball if asked to do so. We view him as a point guard, but he's a versatile talent and someone who should fare well at the Pac-10 level.

I really hope that Weber is able to hang onto Jordan Baker. It seems like Rahe's decision to take a chance and offer him a scholarship when he broke his arm will pay off in the long run. I hope Weber gets him.

The way that Michael Brown from Wasatch has been playing in AAU ball this summer, if I was a Weber State fan, I wouldn't feel badly at all if Brown signed, and Baker didn't. Here's a story in the DesNews that mentions Brown and his AAU experience this summer. Pretty good read.

I'm hoping for both, Brown and Baker, along with TJ Taylor, Collete, Juan Anderson, and Alan Williams.

I'm sure that Brown would be just like Collete...Mission bound. That means a six member class isn't out of the question. With four of them playing right away.

Thanks for the updates George.

I hear he has been lighting it up. You can tell that Brown has a high basketball IQ, since he adjusts his game to the competition he is facing. He seems like he can shoot the ball well and knows how to penetrate as well. Also, its always good to hear about a guy who is a team player first.

What can you tell me about LaSall McKay from Bountiful High. Weber is looking at him too.
