Im a bit of slowpoke, but is it this season that Cal Poly and Davis are now league games?
Yes, they are in the BSC for football only starting this season.

Nice…too bad it has an 80’s feel to it with both questionable music choice and grainy video quality. I guess it’s better than nothing.

BTW anyone checking out the scrimmage tomorrow?

Blah! Disagree with you on the music. I like how it goes with the energy of spring drills that are being shown.

First scrimmage today and the offense looked decent. RB Ellis had some good runs and Magelby and Saffron threw some good balls. O line should be good this year.

Kicking game..... Jason made his first 3-4 kicks and then had 2 in a row blocked. When he was warming up you could see a different trajectory (higher) than last year, so there is improvement.

1st scrimmage stats:
RUSHING

PASSING (Comp-Att-Int-Yds-TD)
Mason Magleby 9-20-2-97-1; Garrett Safron 7-9-1-86-1; Collin Burnett 1-2-0-5-0; Jake Geringer 3-4-0-10-0.

RECEIVING (Rec-Yds)
DeAndre Carter 5-57, TD; T.J. Knowles 3-42; Sam McCowan 3-32; Blake Robertson 3-23; Ashton Collins 2-2; Jonathan Kirkman 1-14; Nnamdi Agude 1-11, TD; Shane Harrison 1-8; Marcus Mosi 1-7; Jamal Smith 1-5.

I do not like the sound of that.
We never had a full season of production from him. Not that big of a loss nor is this that big of a shock imo. This opens up playing time for a younger RB to develop.

Magleby 12-25-2-133-2; Safron 8-15-1-132-0

RUSHING (ATT-YDS-TD)
Safron 6-30; Geringer 2-30; Magleby 5-20-1; Ferman 3-13; Camacho 3-0; Burnett 1-0; Ellis 7-(-5)-1.

RECEIVING (REC-YDS-TD)
Carter 8-81; Robertson 2-56; Mosi 1-50-1; Ellis 3-34; Harrison 2-31-1; Knowles 2-31; Kirkman 1-20; Smith 1-10; Agude 2-2.

How do you judge a guy who has negative total yardage but got a touchdown anyway? I suppose one of those Ellis runs was a huge loss, which would leave a small positive total if one were to not consider that one?

You're right... 1 yard TD and the rest went backwards. We have problems if our QB's are the leading rushers. However, it's good to see some innovations in the passing game, such as passes over the middle (which we haven't seen for years).

All field goal attempts were good, too!
