I must say, I like the set up amount of games we have so far. I think the games we have alone will be a very good test for us. If we can get another UCLA like we did this year along with another home game vs a mid major that would give us a very good test before BSC play.

Why not ask UofA for a rematch? We know where we currently stand against them and both programs could improve from the challenge.

Let me know of anything missing besides the tourney. I didn't know UTA was on there. I also have 16 conf games on there.

I'm pretty sure we will be playing 18 conference games next year. We played 20 this year. Seems like I remember seeing we will play 18 next year though. I would rather play more conference games then non D1 OOC games. I can only handle one St. Katherine college game a year. Ughh

Two divisions of 6. They play each other twice, that's 10 games in division. Then you play each of the teams in the other division once, that's 6 more league games for everyone. 16 league games next year. That means that we can have 13 OOC games. The preseason tournament only counts as one game and the exhibition games don't count at all. Coach has a lot of scheduling to do. By my count we only have 4 or 5 of the 13 accounted for, at this point. A lot of this scheduling takes place at the final 4 coaches meetings and with a lot of phone calls over the summer. :coffee:

So with two divisions, will WSU and UM be in the same division? How is a regular season champ determined? What happens when two teams from opposite divisions finish with identical records? The tie breaker scenario seems difficult to navigate. Let say WSU and UM tie for 1st place regular season. But PSU is one game behind in 2nd place. UM had PSU in their division, so UM beat them twice, and WSU beat PSU the one time they met. So does that mean UM would host because UM beat PSU twice apposed to WSU beating them once?

Next season's schedule has already been discussed at length. And for the 100th damn time, the conference will NOT have divisions and will play an 18 game conference schedule!

Modeled after the Pac 12 format I believe, look at Utah's Pac 12 schedule

Oregon- Home only
Oregon State- Home only
USC- Home and Away
UCLA- Home and Away
Washington- Home and Away
Washington State- Home and Away
Arizona- Home and Away
Arizona State- Home and Away
Colorado- Home and Away
California- Away only
Stanford- Away only

Just an example for Weber

Montana- Home and Away
Montana State- Home and Away
Eastern Washington- Home and Away
Idaho- Home and away
Southern Utah- Home and Away
Northern Arizona- Home and Away
Idaho State- Home and Away
Sacramento State- Away only
Portland State- Away only
Northern Colorado- Home only
North Dakota- Home only

18 games 9 home and 9 away

How that alternates every year Im not sure, but Im guessing that is what our conf schedule will look something like, also we will be keeping travel partners

Weber/ISU
UI/EWU
UM/MSU
CSUS/PSU
NAU/SUU
UNC/UND

That still leaves us with the potential of 13 OOC games, and the Jam only counts as one. What we know is:

USU, UTA, BYU, UVU, and the Jam.

That leaves 8 games left to schedule. Knowing Randy, it will likely only be 6 more games. :twocents:

I think this past season taught us that the more OOC games you have the better. This will be a young team, lets give them some experience.

If I was Ad:

I would try to get 4 of these schools to do home and homes
All Big West schools
Portland
San Francisco
Loyola Marymont
Santa Clara
New Mexico State
San Jose State
North Dakota State
South Dakota State
Pacific
Northern Iowa
Bradley
Missouri State

I would go on the road to 2 or 3 of these schools
Any Pac 12 school except Utah
Gonzaga
UNLV
New Mexico
SDSU
SMU
Texas
Texas Tech
Nebraska
Creighton
Witchita State

Why not put these kids in some big tests. Hopefully we will get to see at least one high major team at the Jam.

We should keep an eye out for a game vs. Utah. I know it's been beating to death, but I'm okay embarrassing the Mighty Utes of the PAC-12 at their place!

don't forget we still have Oral Roberts on the schedule as well

The ORALS are returning next year. The CIT game from last season does not count as the make up for the Bracket Buster that we played in Tulsa last season. I wish the Bracket Buster was still going on. Those games gave the Cats a chance to play other like teams that are very rare now. UTA, SJSU, Oral Roberts etc etc...are great contests and have been fun having on our schedule.

Would Rahe possibly contemplate a 2 for 1 arrangement with a WCC team or MW team? Sure the lower level MW teams should be okay with a traditional home and home, but it would be pretty sweet to get New Mexico or UNLV to visit the Dee. Maybe a 3 for 1 for a PAC-12 to come to the Dee in the future. I'd only go for a 2 for 1 with Utah, or 150K. I feel the Utes might be on our schedule again next season. They should have a pretty good team next year.

Why doesn't Fullerton try to set up some type of conference challenge with either the Big West, WCC, or Summit league...hell even the WAC wouldn't be beyond terrible, even though Weber already has UVU coming to the Dee next year.

Teams won't come to the Dee...it is a hard place to play. A few years ago Seattle tried to back out of a home and home contract after Charles Garcia left for the NBA; whatever happened to him. They didn't have enough $$$ to pay off the contractual obligation. Seattle knew the game was almost a sure loss, since it was suppose to be played in Ogden. Teams also make up garbage like how bad the Big Sky is etc etc.

What do you mean, "make up"? Big Sky is pretty bad. We should see what we can do about joining the ACC.

Looks like you can add University of Oklahoma to the OOC schedule!! Playing them at their place Dec. 22nd!!

That would be a good match up. Arizona's non conference schedule is out and they went with Utah Valley instead.
