Northern Iowa is looking to start a home and home

Also UC Davis is looking for a in season home and home, I wouldnt have a problem playing Davis in the same year twice.

Cal State Northridge is looking for a H/H if they arent too scared to play us

Denver is also looking to start a H/H

Lost of opponents still looking for games
Denver has made sense to me for a while. They are usually at least decent team and come from a solid conference. Root Sports likes to put them on the tube, too. Northridge doesn't help us much more than a D2 school. Love the UNI idea.

Not to mention how close they are, with a school so close to us you have to wonder why we havent played in a while, :?: Wasnt Northridge the reg season Big West Champs last season? I thought they were pretty good last year? Plus they are D1 so I would play them any day over a D2 or NAIA school. And yes lets get that home and home started with UNI, that would be an awesome series. :notworthy:

Well...two beats. We all knew there would be beats on our schedule. Instead of DIII or NAIA teams visiting the Dee, I'd love to see low-major DI's. One would think that they would provide better competition than lower division teams, but... Maybe coach feels that the Cats play enough low level DI teams in conference. LOL St. Katy's is an exhibition and the Presentation game is in season. The season starts the weekend of the 14-15 of Nov. I wouldn't doubt seeing an instate game that weekend. Then the next weekend is the tournament in St. Thomas. Playing Presentation is purely academic. It is to help the team work out some kinks before facing off against Illinois St.

Most years, we don't see a schedule until August. I wouldn't loose any sleep over it. We already know that it will be an improvement over last years and that we will have more OOC games and less BSC games. We also know that if we take care of business in the league that we will be hosting the BSC tournament in March. :thumb: :thumb:

Are we waiting for the Big Sky to publish the conference schedule? Has anyone else in the conference published their schedule yet?

Oral Roberts fans not too excited about playing here

http://forum.orusports.com/index.php/topic/9671-next-years-schedule/page-3

here is the only thing i could find...

according to the Weber St message board, ORU owes a return game for the 2012-13 BracketBuster

I say let them sue us...LOL......but we are an honorable institution.....I guess ORU will have to play at Weber St next year......funny thing....back in the 70's ORU used to play a home and home series with Weber State and frankly we were the much better team back then....ORU beat them at Mabee in 1974 or 1975 I think and then we went up there to return the game during the same season.....we got hosed on several critical calls by the refs and ended up losing a close game......I remember OR saying after that game in the newspaper that ORU would never go back to Weber State and I don't think that we have.......but now that Oral is gone, I guess it's OK....after all....that was about 40 years ago

ORU had to trek out to Ogden, UT a couple of weeks after that BracketBuster game to get their a$$ kicked by Weber State in the quarterfinals of the CollegeInsider.com tournament.

In my mind, that settles the debt.

TheEagleman agrees....I forgot about the CollegeInsider.com tournament loss....so let's not go out there to Ogden again.....it's a tough place to play and I would prefer to take a loss on the road to a good BCS school that is paying us handsomely to do so

Tough cookies!! The Orals have no choice. They have to come out. The College Insider was a totally different arrangement. No matter, those games were a lot of fun. Tough, fun, games. I really enjoyed playing Oral Roberts twice that season. And, gratefully, Weber ended up on top both times.

What we know so far

The Homes
Saint Katherine College- Nov 1st
Presentation College- Nov 17th
BYU- Dec 14th
Utah Valley ( Are we even sure we play UVU? )
Oral Roberts

The Aways
Texas Arlington
Utah State
Oklahoma- Dec 22nd
Idaho (Conference Game) Jan 3rd
North Dakota ( Conference Game) Jan 29th

The Neutrals (Paradise Jam Pre-Season Tourney)

Game 1 VS Illinois State- Nov 21st
Game 2 VS LSU/ODU
Game 3 VS Clemson/Seton Hall/G.Webb/Nevada ? ? ?

Since we are playing in a tourney we will be allowed to play 30 total games this upcoming season. with 18 conf games and the games we know we have 27 games (tourney only counts as one game)

BYU game is Dec 13, not 14 (don't think the cougs are going to play on Sunday)
Ex game vs Western St Nov 8

Reliable rumors are that they are too scared to play us and will be discontinuing our rivalry match-ups on the hardwood. Their posters speculation is that their coach is trying to save his job and this avoid as many embarrassing losses as possible. Doubt they would have the balls to schedule Weber if they are too scared to play us.  :ohno:
