MegaTron, Per NCAA student can make first contact with coaches. Contact head coach Sperbeck, offensive coordinator Peterson or one of the offensive position coaches. There are changes going on on the D side. Here's a link to the coaching staff: http://www.hornetsports.com/sports/fball/coaches/directory" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Remember, contact one of the offensive coaches.

Ok

I'm not seeing any kickers (punters) on any of the recruiting lists for the Hornets. Let's not go backwards here, coach.

Cornish went 3-4 for the end of the year and do see he has a big leg, Agular is still here. Punting wise with Weldon graduating will hurt, he is the greatest punter of all time at Sac State, I know Heath is still here as well. I would probably see a young punter to be added to the team but I would expect these guys to grow. The hornets finished 7-10 in conference for Field Goals.

Cornish did a very good job. I would like to see a little more work or a different snapper and holder.

Yes, Cornish did a very good job. Aguilar could be a good kicker. He was very good in the Spring and in practices. My concern is with having Heath as the punter. Heath can't flip the field like Weldon could and unless he gets some great coaching this winter, he will not be the answer.

UCLA soph redshirt defensive tackle Brandon Tuliaupupu is looking to tranfer. Sac State, Poly and the dungpile mentioned;

Defensive lineman Brandon Tuliaupupu to transfer out

After sitting out this season with a torn ACL, redshirt sophomore Brandon Tuliaupupu will transfer out of UCLA. The defensive lineman has already been removed from the team’s official roster. According to the Los Angeles Times, his likely destinations are Cal Poly, UC Davis or Sacramento State.

During spring practices, Tuliaupupu had split first-team reps at nose tackle with senior Seali’i Epenesa before injuring his knee. Once the season progressed, however, even Epenesa lost reps to true freshman Kenny Clark — who ended the season with two official starts, but was playing a de facto first-string role by the end of the season.

Redshirt freshman Eli Ankou is the only other nose tackle listed on the depth chart, though sophomore Ellis McCarthy can also play there. UCLA has a verbal commitment from 2014 tackle Ainuu Taua, rated the ninth-best prospect in California by Rivals.com.

Wonder if UCLA Defensive Line Coach Angus Mclure still remembers the direction to Sac State?

Given that the makeup of the defensive coaching is a complete question mark (at least as far as what has been made public), I’d have to think we have a very slim shot at landing this guy.

Aseal Birir (5'11" 215) is sleeper bay area RB (Tamalpais High) that I think is worth at least a preferred walk on slot. We need a downhill power back a la Bryan Hilliard and this kid has the size and downhill style to fill a need. Not sure about grades, etc. but saw him truck people like crazy in a game this season. He has zero top-end speed though.

Maybe those 3 are spring enrollees, and Nevin won’t enroll until fall? Or they’ll follow up with another release to include everyone…or wait to include on the signing day release this winter.

If he signed yesterday, then he's a spring enrollee. I guess it could be that his LOI didn't arrive till after the press release was done. I know SDSU received two of their JUCO LOI's late yesterday. In the evening. And another LOI today, but tha one is from an early HS grad. So may be it's like you're saying. A full PR will be issued in Feb.

My son is being recruited by a number of schools including Sacramento State. He has been offered by a couple of schools back east, but we would prefer that he stay out west. He has official visits set up with Cal Poly and Sac State. He played in the Trinity League in SoCal and was a four year varsity player. He's being recruited as a DB. I am interested in knowing about the coaching staff - from the head coach to the defensive coaches. What can you guys tell me about scheme, philosophy and communication style (positive, screamer, etc)?

Thank you in advance.

As a former player of Sperbeck I would have to say he is a positive person, there is not a lot of screaming. He has never degraded someone on the field, when I was there. We had a rule of no cussing and if it happened it was 10 push-ups on the spot, including coaches.

I see that this JUCO safety visited last month. Yet, only has offers from Monmouth and Savannah St.

The Hornets received a verbal from SacBee's D1 Player of the Year, Dre Terrell. He's played QB, CB and PR for the Pleasant Grove Eagles. Heckuva football player. According to one of his family members, other programs were interested but wanted him solely as a DB whereas the Hornets offered the opportunity to play slot WR, which he prefers. The kid is elusive and has good speed. I'm excited about this committment.

Found this link to the RG-J on the MWC board. Apparently, two wolf pack players will be transferring to Sac St.
Linkbacker, Burton De Koning & WR Dominic Coulter will be hornets next season.

Any word on this guy? I have checked both Poly and Dungpile and no news from them either.

Del Oro LB Tyler Meteer the Bee's co-Defensive Player of the year has chosen the Hornets over the dungpile!
He will play TE or LB. Welcome Tyler! :clap:
