2014 Recruiting

I've been seeing that the new Wyoming staff has been starting to make a number of offers to Colorado players. Wyoming has recently offered Valor OL Cummings and Heritage DE Cain. Both had reportedly committed to other FCS schools. Concerns me that Wyoming may be coming in and targeting a number of kids that might have considered UNC as an option. I was wondering if anybody knows what offers or commitments UNC has with Colorado players or any players for that matter?

It's not good sign for Wyoming if they are recruiting from the same pool that Big Sky teams are playing in.

Geez, I hope things are better than what is perceived with the football program. I see nothing but red flags everywhere. And we are in a deep, deep hole. HELP !!

Collins and staff would be smart to start recruiting the mid-west. I would follow the NDSU and SDSU blueprint. Get those kids who are from small farm towns and blue - collar towns. They might be more similar to Greeley. I'm tired of having guys like Jace Davis, Bumpas and Will Jefferson who take every opportunity to knock Greeley and UNC, all the while taking scholarship money.

If you've been watching the FCS playoffs you will notice how the announcers on ESPN praise the type of kids Bohl has recruited. Simply good, humble, strong kids who don't take advantage of what is given to them. They have a strong desire to represent their school and city. Collins needs those type of players.

Agreed.

Looks like we have another commit. Saw this posted on twitter this morning-

Good luck to my buddy @Radmen on a D1 scholarship to Northern Colorado. Have fun out there kid

It's referring to Radman Niven an OL/DL out of Minnesota. Haven't been able to find much info or highlights on him other than he was 6-3 and 187 lbs as a sophomore at Washburn High School.

Looks like he is coming from a JR College:

I found a Radmen Niven currently playing at a community college in Minnesota. Went there due to being undersized. He is now a 6-4, 275 OL

6-4 275 certainly sounds a lot more like a lineman.

I'm liking the size of the hogs they are bringing in with this class so far.

Kendall Ryan: 6-4 305 lbs
Kody Mommaerts: 6-6 280 lbs
Radmen Niven: 6-4 275 lbs

Adding some more beef to the O-Line.

Dan Ryan a 6-3 270 lbs O-lineman from O'Fallon High School tweeted today that he has committed to UNC

(@M3AT_WaGON)
After11 years, and a dream of playing division 1 college football,I have decided to further my career at the University of Northern Colorado

He is listed as 2 star OT on Scout with offers from Kent State, UMass, Tulsa, and Western Kentucky.

1st Team All Southwestern Conference and 1st Team St. Louis All Metro.
