This article about Malcolm Williams (mentioned earlier) refers to him as an Eastern Washington commit.

Wish we could find more info on this kid. He ran two 4.4s in two different camps.

My guess is it's a "loose" verbal. He still seems to be shopping around trying to pick up Pac-12 offers. If he legitimately has that type of speed, it makes me think he's a Prop 48 kid, which we have not had great luck with recently.

It sure would be nice to land another Taiwan Jones, though.

MSU hasn't gotten a verbal yet. Ouch.

I'm guessing they probably do. They tend to keep their recruiting stuff pretty hush-hush.

MSU just picked up their first (known) verbal.

How about those Grizzlies though? They are having a very solid recruiting year. I believe they already have three 3-star athletes verballed. Pretty impressive.

Grizzlies have out recruited us on some very good kids this year. That is, every athlete which had a Griz and EWU offer, seemed to go to the Griz. However, it looks like we are favored to win this kid. Josh Rasmussen from Lake Stevens wants to pick between Griz and EWU, but says staying close to home is very important to him.

Only a Junior without an offer, but pretty cool to see regardless! Our program has come such a long way when you see tweets like this.

Via this tweet, it seems as if we have picked up 6'1 220lb DE/RB Billy Greer, from Wilson, HS WA
The Tweet was favorited by him.

Likely would be a defensive end for EWU, seeing as we usually don't put that much meat at RB.

Commit?

From his Twitter. Not a commit, but something.

I think it's fairly safe to say that Greer is a commit at this point, so I'll add him to the board.

Awesome, but do you think EWU recruited him as a RB? He doesn't seem to fit our mold for RB and is more likely to be a DE.

With that size, he looks more like a LB to me. 6'1" seems kinda short for a DE at this level.

John Goldwire is 6'1. Solely on his Hudl, he is listed as DE/RB.

with a few obvious exceptions college coaches recruit football players/athletes more than they do for any specific position so i wouldnt get too wrapped up around what player X or player Y played in high school.

Yes, but we can't speculate anything outside of what his recruitment profile states. We have two options, DE and RB. We can't project other positions without more information from the coaches.

Watched a couple of potential players Sat. in a high school playoff game..Dre Dorton(verbal) from Chiawana and Ketner Kupp(offer) from Davis played against each other. Both look to have huge upsides. One sided game though with Chiawana winning 47-7. *Kupp's 18th birthday
