2015 Recruiting - 18 Verbals - Updated 2/3

clawman,
Went out today to check out the WBB Team practice. They are looking good. Hope they continue. Saw approximately 12 Recruits, with Coach, Zach Hill, Coach, Nick Edwards, and Coach, Fetter. Some big young men. Didn't get any of their names or positions. They didn't come to where we were sitting. Saw Vernon Adams and Shag Hill running the stairs. After about an hour running those stairs behind where we sit, they looked like me walking down the stairs     . I mentioned to both they looked like me , walking down the steps, they both looked at me and :). Those two young men are really putting on some muscles. Go Eagles!!!!! Vic Wallace

GROUND&POUND
I completely agree with you comments about the best University for winning, and Coaches. I have been following this team for some time at least 20 years, and have seen the type of Coaches we have had. My son is a coach at West Valley High, here in Spokane, WA. and he loves it very much. He is into Coaching and teaching now for 14 years. EWU did finish 4th in the nation behind of course NDSU, Ill St., and UNH. EWU will compete very hard again this year. Just hope we come through injury free. I have seen all of our Players, here is hoping none of them get cold feet and want to give up Football. We loose some each year. Again thank you for your insights of our Team and Coaches. :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: Vic Wallace

Servite CB Maurice Davison is visiting EWU this weekend according to the OC Register.

Kid has Pac 12 talent and FCS height. Has an offer from Cal Poly and someone I am hoping also trips to SLO. Cal Poly has 3 former Servite players on the roster and 2 that have recently graduated from Poly.
Maurice Davison commits to NAU.

Loved Davison at CB. He'd be special. Dre Dorton may play DB I'm hearing, Not slot. Simms and Dorton would be great as our future CB's. I really like Inos at FS too.

Best news of the Day - Ketner Kupp will be an EAGLE! Class of 2015 is going to be special!

GROUND&POUND,
Best news of the day is that Ketner Kupp means he will be coming to EWU. His brother told me Thursday, he was making a trip to Idaho State. I did see him on the bench at the Women BB Game on Saturday against SAC State of which we lost by 6 points. Feb 5th we will know who exactly who we will be getting. Go Eagles!!!!! Vic Wallace

Keep an eye on a darkhorse QB out of New Mexico, who could be the next big thing. He has 9 offers but we are in the top 2 choices so far. Dad is a college coach and favors the Eagles. He cancelled some trips after coming to EWU over the weekend. Sounds like we have a great shot.

Other special players on our radar:
An RB Sam McPherson 5'11 190 from a state champion contender school may be coming to us as well. Had several offers before an injury. The staff loves loves loves him. Great kid and family. Superior football player. Born to play type. He looks like he's closer to 205-210 now.

WR Braylon Scott 6'4 185 out of Liberty HS in Bakersfield around (Ca). One of the most under rated players in the nation. Offers from Colorado State and EWU. Florida is sniffing around. Colorado St likes him as a DB, we like him as a WR, which is absolutely where he should be playing. With our outstanding Offensive coaching, Braylon will be a draft pick someday at WR.

An OL from Salem, Oregon (last name is Long 6'7 275) should be on the verbal list. He was also offered by Montana.

Also a 6'2 180 WR from Sutter High Elijah Dean in the Sacramento, Ca area should be on the list.

Levi Long?

This article from back in November mentions Long as a verbal commit to Eastern. I don't know if the information is still accurate. His other offer seems to be from Montana State and I didn't see anything which mentioned him going there.

Long, who verbally committed to Eastern Washington University earlier this season, said it was difficult to see underclassmen with little experience step in to key roles as the season progressed.

I believe the kid Keenan Williams from Cheney is a Wyoming verbal.

So stoked for @Ket_Daddy_Kupp to get up here. Great guy great player! #GoEags

Great news. Eastern has a great tradition of brothers playing together.

If a kid from another state signs to go to school in Washington can they declare residency and pay in state tuition after a given time?

I think you have to be a resident for purposes other than attending college. This is why many times you see kids (not scholarship athletes) move somewhere and live there for a year before they attend college.

Grant Owens TX? Has two tweets, one from EWU Admissions and one talking about EWU Uni's.

Good looking big receiver. Can't find any other information. Looking forward to LOI day.

Possible, but not probable. We just don't recruit Texas that much, for whatever reason. Probably because it's so saturated with DI football schools.

Keenan Williams should also be listed as a verbal commit. He will graduate early and be here for spring ball.

I'll keep them off the board for now. I usually wait until I see something from the media or the recruit himself saying he's given a verbal.
