We all make mistakes in our lives, theirs will last for 5 years.

Yeah, I sometimes think kids are afraid of going somewhere if the program is successful. Maybe deep down they don't want to compete and think it's easier to get on the field in other places.

Eastern actually has grabbed some guys in 2015 that could have gone to bigger schools. As a hs coach of 30 years, I can tell you that in my circle of friends from California (both northern and southern) Eastern Washington is considered a top notch experience and opportunity for any caliber player. If you want to go to school in a nice place to live with a smaller population, and have a chance to win every week along with competing for a National Championship every year, EWU is a great choice. On top of that, the coaching staff is one of the best in the nation and they are great people.

Impossible. We've been told several times that none of the kids we recruit out of Cali could be recruited by Cal Poly because of academic standards.

Aside from football there is a lot more to growing up in the next 5 years, these are kids that will be men when they graduate. They will be spending more time with their football "family" than any other. If I had a son deciding where to go to school there is no better group of men I would rather have mentor him through these critical years than the staff at Eastern.
