2016 Recruiting: 19 Verbals (Known) *Updated 2/2*

Went down list and added to 247Sports calc for EWU. Fun exercise with more players listed than the past couple of seasons, some even had points. 34.42 Nice.

Do potential prop kids get announced?

I'm not totally sure. Maybe no, since I don't think a kid who is a Prop 48 receives scholarship money his first year, which would mean that they wouldn't be announced as part of an official recruiting class - just like a walk-on. Prop 48's are also not allowed to have any contact with the program their first year of school.

Interestingly, his twitter says "EWU Commit Class of '20." EWU usually takes a chance on 1-2 Prop 48 kids a year. Maybe this is the case with Dyles...although again, I don't want to presume too much.

To All,
If I had know Matt Nichols, Greg Peach, and J.C. Sheritt was going to be there I would have made the trip, regardless of the smoke. I really enjoyed watching the activities on SWX TV. I was kind of worried when I noticed the program had gone off before all the names were announced. Three names were missing. Spoke with my friend Neal and he stated all 19 Recruits was on the Forum. These young Players are the future of this Program. Seems like we get better at each year Recruiting. Go Eagles!!!!! Will try and make the 7 on 7 today. It is Mon and Wed. Vic Wallace

luckyintheorder,
With what Scholarships we get and must work with, fro year to year, I am glad I am not the one working with them. It is complicated, listening to who will get one, who will get help if Scholarships, or partial Scholarships are not there at present. Our Coaches should be complimented for the job they does brining in those talented Players. To all you Recruits "Welcome to the Eagle nation". We know you will be graduating in June, hoping to see all of you for the Spring Football. Go Eagles!!!!! Vic Wallace

Ronthewiseoldeagle,
I did see portion of your sign, "Hi Vic". Had I known that our former Eagle Players were going to be in the house in advance, we would have come to the event, smoke or not. Enjoyed what I saw on SWX TV. Hope everyone else that checked it out are happy with they saw. Now must wait until sometime in Spring before they come on board. Again another "Outstanding Recruiting Class". Thanks! Coaches and Recruits. Go Eagles!!!!! Vic Wallace

Ranger...a huge thanks for helping to put on the most exciting signing day in EWU history! Your efforts keeping us abreast of offers from the beginning help build momentum right up to the start of the show...we knew what was going on when the show began. Which by the way was 1st cabin.SWX and all those behind the scences putting it together all get A+++ in this honor class. That's the way a D1 program does it with style! Mission Accomplished.

WHAT A GREAT CLASS of multi star athletes!
Do we still have the list from last year anywhere?
I am not going to lie I would have liked to have seen a kicker or punter on this list. I know it has been mentioned before, but I think our depth at that position truly showed last year...especially with all the injuries we have gotten in those positions the last couple of years.

FYI, Kyle Olson-Urbon was an All-State Punter his junior year in HS. Don't know if he repeated that for his senior year, but he could pull of the duties if needed.

I second that about the hard work that was put in :notworthy:

DUDESAIDIT - see that is the problem...if needed :ohno: almost seems like it is a let's go to the media guide and see who can punt/kick type of philosophy.

Did made the 7 on 7 yesterday. Shaq Hill, Albert Havili, both was out practicing, doesn't seem like they are still injured. Spoke to Monike Sarte, Andri Lino, Albert Havili, they are all ready for the season to commence. Cooper Kupp, did verify the activities were held in the Hotel. Missed it again. While talking to Coop, his brother Ketner came up and mentioned himself, and Kurt Calhound was heading to the Rockwood Clinic (Student Health Center on Campus) they were both feeling sick. Reilly Hennessey was sick yesterday. Possible Flu going around.
Andrew Zimmerman Freshman QB did some throwing the ball yesterday. He was sick all last year withhis back. Go Eagles!!!!! Vic Wallace

To All,
Noticed Coach Graham son from Cheney High, committed to Idaho Vandals. Maybe he wanted to get away from home for a while. Good luck to him. Vic Wallace

Just wanted to say what an exciting class. Probably the best recruiting class "star wise" I've seen from EWU.

Side personal note---I played against Renard Williams in a state playoff game my senior year (we were the same age) and although my team won, Renard nearly won the game on defense alone. Size did not matter that day, the dude dominated. I was actually surprised to see him come to EWU thinking UW or someone would pick him up. I was happy to watch him return that fumble in person against Montana was amazing.

While there appears to be a few stars in this class I think the potential for development being the best news. As you know kids develop physically at different levels and ages. Small schools like Eastern need to rely on the under developed kid that has potential, then the ability to "coach em up". IMO that has been the strength of the coaches to get the most out of the kid if they are willing to do the work.

Traded IM's with a Spokane media member that there isn't any updated information on Omar Dyles out of Bellevue High School.

We all know DLine has been a position where the Eags need more athleticism. Seems like a great get for EWU if they can get him in.

Dyles tweet announcing he has signed a LOI is off at
best. A lot of drama with Dyles and his time at Bellevue
and Academic Institute.

He did try to transfer from Bellevue to ODea but for some
reason ODea took a pass.
