2016 Recruiting: 19 Verbals (Known) *Updated 2/2*

No problem tracking this all down, gents. My pleasure. This 18 matches the number that was tweeted by one of the coaches, and these are all confirmed verbals, whether it be through social media or the recruiting sites (Scout, Rivals, 247, ESPN, or Maxpreps).

I'll keep an eye on things a little tonight, but barring any shakeups, I believe the final list will look very similar to what I've put together. Since we're losing somewhere around 21-22 players, I imagine that the coaches may be holding on to 1 or 2 scholarships in the event a transfer becomes available between now and the spring/summer. Hope that's the case, anyway.

Water under the bridge at this point, but I don't think we continued to extend an offer to Ray Green. Could be wrong, but I think we filled our RB quota and left that one on the table. Maybe it made no difference in that he was going to Montana anyway, but I feel more than happy with the RBs we have committed.

I have seen Dyles play multiple times. Solid player but is
closer to 5-11 vs 6-1. If not mistaken he is the Bellevue
player that had multiple problems with the Wolverine program.

Have all this year's commits been cleared academically?

LOL, never trust the measurements you read. This kid looks like the same body as Andru Pulu. I think he was listed as 6'2", but he was more like 6'0". Even Renard Williams would've needed stilettos to reach the 6'3" he was listed at. I'll take a short, strong, and quick-on-the-feet DT any day over some kid with the right measurements but without the talent!

Agreed. I think getting two fairly early commits at RB probably shaped this quite a bit. Very happy with who should be signing tomorrow.

In reference to Barriere, his twitter says Cheney, WA as location. Don't want to read to much into things, but...I'd say he's a pretty strong verbal at this point. :thumb:

We'll have to see how it goes. Tomorrow can't come soon enough.

It is interesting how we watch for each commitment and who signs and what a great draft it is, but who remembers last year? Who were the coveted athletes from the last two, three, or four years? Have they fulfilled expectations? The outstanding walk ons? The drop outs?

I remember some. I was really looking forward to Hennessey and the Webster twins in particular as they came through. Just like in the draft, some pan out, some don't. And some diamonds in the rough really shine in ways we didn't expect. I like trying to look back and see what the expectations were.

To All,
I predicted we could finish with approximately 16-18 Recruits, we got 19. Here are the names to be presented tomorrow morning. Omar Dyles DT are not on this list. Hoping he comes in later.
QB Eric Barriere. OL Connor Crist
OL Jake Blackburn TE Talolo Limu Jones
RB Jason Talley DE Rudolph Mataia
OL Nicholas Blair DT Keith Moore
DB Calin Criner DT Tre Neal
RB Antione Custer Jr. OL D.J. Dyer
Benaiah Ellington Jr. RB Tamarick Pierce
WR Xavier James WR Colton Swain
S Kedrick Johnson Brett Thompson

Here is hoping we have some more at 07:00 a.m. Happy with what I have seen so far. Go Eagles!!!!!Vic Wallace

Signing day! For those wanting to watch, it is being televised live locally on SWX, or watchbigsky.com on the internet. Matt Nichols and JC Sherritt will be in the house.

7 AM Pacific time.

My goodness how far we have come from 2010! This is fun. The quality of SWX has definitely improved. I love how they are showing highlights. I also love how Spokane is finally embracing EWU. Since I am not there are the other stations doing a WSU signing day special?
The EB kid looks like he has a cannnon!
Great day to be an Eagle!

I'm not seeing a Thompson on the verbal list. Anyone know who he is?

He is a 1st team all state lineman from Olympia. This guy is really athletic (Starter on basketball) looks good on defense as well.
