Any word on Critchlow?

I know a lot of people are talking about Critchlow. My only thing is thinking back the the last few drop down QB's we got, did any of them do anything for us? If I recall, No. Jimmy Barnes, nothing (though we did find the stud that was Higgins). Billy Green, nothing. I am sure we can find and groom a QB then relay on another drop down.

Constantine was a drop down

He dropped to a juco before he came here, we wasn't a straight drop down.

Looks like this will be a PWO. Signing is complete for the day. Hill says they've held back a few scholis for potential transfers.

I really like the QB they signed out of Idaho. He has the size, strength, skill, and speed to become great.

I don't know how many of these kids will be missionaries or red shirts, but it looks like we have a handful who can help right away. These O linemen we signed seem to have the size, strength, and speed to help. Don't know if any will be an immediate impact, but it sure helps our depth and future.

In talking about the BYU transfer QB, and if you can tell anything by their HS highlight videos, I would say that most of the QBs in our program now show better. I think it would be hard for him to win any PT here. With that said, I don't know how much progress he has shown since HS. It may be a bit unfair to judge from that long ago. However, if he wanted to walk on with us and give it a try, I would be okay with that. It may be in his best interest to look at a lower level FCS or D11 program. Just my humble opinion. :coffee:

Often times, greatness rises from humility. Great things come from humble beginnings.

Knudson seems like an automatic mission kid.
I haven't heard anything definitive, but might be a good thing in a lot of ways.

Jay did say that 3 or 4 are probably headed out on missions. He didn't name names because plans can sometimes change.

Thanks for the update. I'm looking forward to seeing him play in person. He looks like a real diamond in the rough. IMHO, he has a huge up side. I believe he will find our school, program, and community quite welcoming.

I presume Peter is your son? Is he a preferred walk on? When does he expect to join the team?

Peter is my brother. He's a preferred walk on. I believe he's joining in the summer. He was the 2A Idaho player of the year and played QB, Safety, and was also a first team all state punter. I go to Boise State but now I'm a bigger Weber State fan than anything! Love sifting through these boards.

Thanks for the clarification and welcome to our boards. Lots of walk ons end up making big contributions at Weber. I think we recently had an All American that started as a walk on. Always interesting to see how players from the smaller high school divisions stack up with those from bigger schools.

OL Cade Parrish Snow College

It looks like Cade will be staying at Snow for his 2nd year. I'm hoping that he continues to progress and transfers into WSU next December. He looks like he has the motivation and determination to do it.

Scrolling through the transfer portal, found there are a ton of quality QBs, RBs, and other positions currently available. I think there is a high likelihood of finding exactly what we need. It's just too bad that they wouldn't be here for spring ball, whom ever they are. Jay said that he is saving a couple of spots for late signees or transfers. 'Late' might mean any time between now and summer. :coffee:

Yikes, I'm sorry for assuming. So, that is great knowing he will be with the team this Summer.
