Wow, you’re right! Maybe he changed his mind really quick, or maybe he wants to wait until tomorrow to reveal his intentions.

That's one thing I really dislike about this entire process. Either commit or don't.

These kids learn nothing about honoring their word and keeping commitments.

Instead it's "I'm committed to you, unless something better comes along". SMH.

I realize many of these kids are told that the offers are conditional, but still.

Apparently Deion flipped a 5 star recruit (#2 overall recruit in the 2022 class).

The big deal about it is that it's supposedly the first 5 star to ever sign with an FCS program, at least since ESPN started tracking this sort of thing circa 2006.

I've seen others suggest that this kid will be in the portal soon, especially if/when Deion lands another job at a P5 program.

I know HBCU's are a trendy thing now, but I just don't see an avalanche of 4 and 5 star recruits skipping out on the opportunity to play for an FBS National Championship.

Jackson State wasn't even able to participate in the FCS playoffs this season.

Whatever his reasons were for deleting the tweet, Nakian Jackson did follow through with his commitment and has officially signed. He was announced on the SacHornetsFB official twitter page about 15 minutes ago.

In fact, they won the SWAC with an 11-1, 8-0 record, and will participate in the Celebration Bowl against MEAC Champ South Carolina State (6-5, 5-0 MEAC) this coming Saturday at 0900 PST on ABC. They likely WOULD have chosen the playoffs had they been given a choice, but the SWAC Champ is locked into the Celebration Bowl by contract.

Whether or not Coach Prime should have had a chance to flip this recruit is another story. There is a lot of flak at his alma mater right now over this.

I’m fully aware how well Jackson State performed this season. Nothing I wrote indicated what you inferred. You just missed my point is all.

That point being is that there won’t be a slew of 4 and 5 star athletes eager to play for an FCS program that can’t play for it’s own divisions Nat’l title due to a contract.

So not only do many see this current 5 star entering the portal at some point, it’s very unlikely for others to follow his path.

That was the point.
