FBS Special Teams player or a Lower division starter is my guess. He left too soon in my opinion

Honestly the Fcs to Fbs success stories are so memorable because they are so few, most players just disappear on that move. It’s like Vegas you want to tell everyone you’re going to lose in the end but everyone still gambles

In reality, the majority players that will be getting cut are walk ons. Prolly don’t want a roster full of that caliber player. Loved the movie “Rudy” just don’t want a roster full of them.

Me thinks there are changes coming in staff and the players have heard about some of them are dumping out trying to catch on elsewhere. Also, there is an expression in the work world. People do not quit a job, they quit their manager. I think they next 2-3 weeks will either be calm or a raging storm.

We should be playing the players that put us in the best position to win, regardless of class.

Like it or not, this is what college football with free agency is now. Sucks to see Scudero enter the portal, but is he for sure gone? Gipson entered the portal and ended up staying. Surprised to see him walking from a starting spot unless he was guaranteed a starting spot at a "better" program. My bigger fear is that this means Conklin is hitting the portal as well.

Given the limited roster spots across the board, free agency is going to be total bedlam this time around.

Truthfully Speaking. Conklin is an intellectual QB student if the game in my opinion as I see him developing.
He seems mature beyond RS Freshman. Even if he was thinking in back of his mind about searching for a big NIL payday,
I think he “self recognizes” that play time is what he needs to increase his value. Improving his pocket presence, getting a tiny bit more in synch w his WR’s on route running. The small details that would make him a guy on an FBS roster 3 deep like Kevin Thompson was going to UW Huskies.

If after another season of development and if our coaches are still doing the “amber heard” bowel movements in bed Then I would expect him to bounce with 2 yrs experience and more refined!

Let’s see what AT / ORR end up deciding?

Maybe waiting until after this upcoming weekend to see if TT loses to SJSU that might seal his fate with alumni?
