We've updated the site to combine all the forums that were part of the Big Sky Fans Network into one location. This will make it easier to navigate and participate in all the discussions for each school without having to have multiple accounts, etc. We are still working out some tweaks but please let us know if you notice anything.

With the migration, in some circumstances, your username could have been merged with one of your other usernames from the other forums. If this is the case, you can request to change your username in your account details page of your profile.

2025 Recruiting Thread

Good catch, maybe to avoid the negative backlash about the weed arrest on a larger scale? Nothing is real until the "Signed" release comes from the school, even then, dudes walk/get walked off all the time. lol
I believe this is one of those gray areas in recruiting. When I was involved in coaching an NCAA staff could not announce a commit themselves until they were a signee, but you would see all these tweets about “BOOM” or something that the staff would put out indicating they got a commit. You’ll notice that the SacHornetsFB page is not ever the ones announcing the commit themselves and I don’t believe the coaches are either. The graphics are posted first from the players page and then I’ve seen the Hornet staff and Co. do retweets which could be that gray area. And hence why you saw Agiye post his graphic like all the other FBS commits we’ve had.

Until proven otherwise, I’m going to default to Coach Marion knowing what he’s doing in this situation and trust in that.

I’d also assume that whatever amount of slack (in the proverbial rope) Coach Marion has granted to Agiye Hall will be quite short. I hope the kid makes the most of a 2nd, 3rd or whatever the number of chances this is.

Lastly, the most likely reason this program would even be in position of landing a talent of this caliber is when numerous red flags and/or a checkered resume come attached.
Agreed, how this all plays out and who Coach Marion and his staff bring into the portal is on them. That said, I'm not a fan of brining a player with a history like that of Hall and hopefully the coaches are vetting the players they are bringing in. I don't know the guy so maybe (hopefully) he found Christ and has truly turned his life around. We'll see how this plays out.

You are incorrect -- the account announces the signees when they are official.... they are all over that page.

I can keep going.

I believe official signees are being conflated with commitments.

The official signees are indeed posted on the official Sac State football twitter account, as well as the hornetsports website. But when it comes to players announcing a commitment, like the several that were announced then later revoked with their recruitment re-opened, they are typically posted on the players twitter home page then re-posted by others.

@FootballAlum84 is describing the commitment process, not an official signing. Best I can tell, Agiye Hall has only committed, not signed — unless something has changed in the past 20 hours.

If/when he does officially sign, it’ll be posted to that same twitter account. Just like everyone else.

^^ There’s still several names from the above list that have yet to officially sign thus they haven’t been posted to the official twitter account page.

Scott and Firebaugh’s official signings were posted last night and today.

By my count, they’re still missing Agiye Hall, Tim Conerly, Ikaika Ragsdale, Jordan Williams, Damien Henderson, and Chase Brackney — among others whom have also committed.

Ragsdale has decomitted. Announced on twitter today.

Well, that explains his absence then. We’ll see how many of the others end up officially signing or de-committing as Ragsdale did.

With the volume of commitments they’ve had since Marion was hired, I feel like we’re going to continue to see de-commitments as others of the same positional group beat others to the proverbial signing punch.
