All plans are for Tourney to be at Butler-Hancock

I like the tournament. It gives the opportunity for the hottest team that can prove that it can win in a hostile single elimination environment. They give every advantage to the regular season conference champion. Regardless, the regular season winner is rewarded with the NIT, which isn't that bad of a tournament. The NIT also is a great opportunity for Big Sky teams to legitimately compete to win it all. I know we've been antsy to get back to the Dance, but the system as is seems fine to me.

I agree 100%

If you can't win 2 games back to back on your home floor you don't deserve to have your ticket punched.

I love following the reg season because I want to Host and know how important it is. I love the conference tourneys, it's a bunch of mini dances before the big Dance....
They're not going away so you might as well enjoy them.....
Saturday night was a hell of a good game

You make a great point, usually the only fans drawing any fans to reg season home games are the top 3, everyone else not so much, and now that I think about what you said playing for a right to go straight to the dance would bring more excitement to the conf race.

Or if the Sky was to have a tourney, they should only send the top 4 NOT top 6 get rid of the bye's, get rid of the qf games and only have the 2 semi's and the final at the reg season champ's house.
I also like your idea about when SUU and NDU join, I'd go for that.

I heard last night that the West Coast Conference has already released how they will change their tourney with the addition of BYU.
The 8th and 9th seed will play a "play-in" game to get the tournament to 8 teams to start, then 4 straight days of play to get to tournament winner. Playing in Vegas they had good crowds for the semis and finals, at least what I saw on ESPN.

It is about the $$....but I think a year ago it was suggested that the Big Sky move the tourney to a neutral site (Spokane was mentioned) and it went down in flames. It is a perk for the Conference winner to host, though the expense to that school may make it not viable economically.
