Ive been posting some smack over at their board, those guys are pretty arrogant! All they say is that theyre a tier-1 university, other than that and the causeway record they really have nothing.

GO SAC STATE! DOWN WITH THE FOE!

UH... I know reading comprehension isn't a big strong point over at suc state, but what part of UCD being a tier-1 university and the causeway record don't you understand.

My point is, thats all you have. Your ranting never changes, its the same every year.

ucd is a STATE school as well, what part of that dont the Berkeley rejects understand!

Its okay, I know you guys have a lot of pinned up frustration. I know, I know with all those darn beastiality laws in place you guys cant get any over there.

Yeah, and it must be doubly frustrating to know that your school was born as a Dairy Farm for Cal Berkeley, and that the main action on campus was (and still is) pulling the teats on a cow - what an enlightened institution! And Sacramento is "only" the capitol of California, situated amongst two great rivers, and represents the birthplace of a great state.

And then there's Davisville (its original name)...Sounds like a town from Green Acres.

I have to admit (grudgingly...VERY grudgingly) that everything aggie6thman said in the context of facilities is true. We can lay that (along with the vast majority of our athletic problems) at the doorstep of The Fat Man. Under his bogus administration, there was very little focus on athletics (a rather large part of a well-rounded education), even though the move to D-I was on his watch. In fact, there were those who tried to force facilities improvements through, but these were mostly quashed by his sycophants. The one major project that got done was the outstanding weight-room, and that was done AGAINST the wishes of the administration through outside financing and volunteer (read: athlete and parent) labor due to the outstanding vision of one Bob Visger. Until this administration attitude is excised, we will continue to lag the Manure Pile. We're starting to get there, but it's agonizingly slow.

UCD hosted the NCAA DI Women's Water Polo Championships in 2006 and even qualified the team to compete there. About as exciting as hosting a rowing championship. Also, the hosting of the olympic track and field trials at Horent Stadium was due in large part to UCD's Track coach Deanne Vochatzer, who was the head coach of the 1996 olympic team. It was a shining example of what can happen when the two schools work together.

And what's so bad about UCD beginning as an offshoot of Cal, the most respected public university in the world? That's the best insult you can come up with? FWIW UCD is its own university now, although the sports teams do like to copy Cal's underachiever style and choke away easy games.

Pulling on those milk teets must be the reason why UCD has the 16th largest research budget in the country. Seriously, how many farmers do you know who don't have a brand new F350 in their driveway and can't afford to send their kids to whatever university they want? There's no shame in making sure Americans are the best fed folks on the planet and pulling a nice profit doing so.

Admittedly. the way the UCD administration kept lowering seating capacity while building the stadium is almost as shameful as Gonzo's handling of Sac's new arena. None of us are happy about it.

Winner winner chicken dinner! I got one to agree with me! But as Stinky said, we both feel that our facilities could be much better. Those of you that are coming to the game will be impressed with Aggie Stadium.

Actually my double super secret decoder is the MOST powerful, and Spiderman is waaaaay cooler than Pooh bear. We have a full week to talk about this game, of course we are going to run the gambit on topics.

Cal used to be on top in the 70's and 80's, after the bong smoke cleared from the 60's. Sadly, the talent that made them tops in Engineering are either retired or dead.

As with many (or most) universities these days, costs have escalated through the roof due to the obscene pay scales for these so called professors, who are the new rock stars of the day. Look at UC President Mark Yudof. He was a University prez out in Texas for a while, and was courted by the University of Minnesota, where he was paid a kings ransom. A few short years later, he's now the prez for the UC system, being paid god knows what.

I live out here in the midwest in corn country, and I know ALOT of farmers who do not have new F350's in their driveway (despite record corn prices), their kids are still at home on the farm, and most take winter jobs in town when the fields are frozen. And I also know alot of dairy farmers who work 7 days a week (the milking never stops, Stinky) for Jack Sh_t. Now that's livin'!

I don't know what kind of new fangled farmers or crops you guys are churning out there at UCD, but geez wally, maybe I chose the wrong major!?! Let's load up the truck and move to Davisville!

As for your research budgets, big whoop - it just means that you guys have talented "development" personnel - people who cold call alumni for money. I know this firsthand because my wife is a reluctant Aggie alumnus, and we get a minimum of 6 calls a year, plus boatloads of junk and email. And who walks around with their chest out about being 16th in anything? Thinking you guys are hot shots because you are 16th, have picnic day, ride around on bikes with sissy bars, and can pick on "lowly" Sac State...Walk tall Aggies, walk tall.

Your facilities are paid for by STATE funds, the State funds the UC's a king's ransom, while the CSU's are funded at the level of the DMV, road construction, toad shelters in an 'research town' and every other 'general expenditure' in the ridiculously late STATE budgets.

Track stadiums seem to do well at Nevada, Boise, Appalachian St., etc. It's just a different style of layout. Why they chose to dig a hole in the sweltering Sep/Oct 'hot as hell valley' must prove they don't perform good research. An elevated structure is better able to catch the breeze.

Sac State is homegrown, I'd say 70%+ of the 'researchers' at davis are foreign. Students are either pompass asses in training or also foreign born.

When I think of Sac State, I see progressive, urban, hip, awesome area
When I think of davis, I see nerd, pocker protector, chop sticks and

Actually, the football stadium, the rec center, and the aquatics center were paid for by student fees and private donations. The baseball/soccer complex was built primarily from private donations (it was supposed to just be a real nice baseball field but title IX got in the way and it became two decent but not great soccer and baseball fields)

Sorry we have an international reputation here at Davis. Thought America was the land of immigrants. Many of these 'foreigners' are harder working and more passionate about what they do than most 'real americans.'

Much rather have my daughter attend a school that was 'only 16th' in research budget than one that is best known for having girls auction off their virginity.

Think about it Stinky - 42% of your student body is Asian. The reason these foreigners are harder working is that they come from socialistic countries where if they don't toe the line, they wind up with a bullet in their head (they pay for their own bullet), or working in a chop stick factory for a bowl of rice. That's called motivation not to be 16th. And you should get on your knees and thank them, since they probably only use the gym for tai chi and badminton. That is, after they have been at the library all day.

Your disappointment in the outcome of the soccer and baseball fields was due to "Title IX getting in the way" (i.e those whining women who want the same sports). As I remember, a soccer field is a soccer field, and well, women don't play on a baseball field but a softball field. so sorry things didn't pan out for you guys over there in Pleasantville. Maybe go out in one of your cornfields and build it, and they will come. And may God help your daughter if you're allowed to procreate, damn Title IX.

No one is saying diversity is bad StinkyMCPooPoo, Sac State is 25th in the country for most ethnically/racially diverse college campuses. And Sac State doesnt even have that Affirmative Action policy that ucd has. Its just that ucd has a reputation for favoring some students over others, ragardless of qualifications, based on ethnicity and race.

We really should stop bickering about this kind of stuff, it just leads to places we really dont want to go.

GO HORNETS! DOWN WITH THE FOE!

41% of the undergrad student body is Asian-AMERICAN, 1.9% are international students. Last I checked Asian-AMERICANs were still AMERICAN. Many of them are here because their families fought along side AMERICAN troops in WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. Sorry you're upset about California having a diverse population that believes in the AMERICAN dream. Is your cousin still saving herself for you back in Kentucky?

Sorry sonny boy, no need to preach to me about the inclusion of Asian Americans - I was born and raised in the Bay Area and lived there for 40 years. More years than you've been alive, I would hazard to guess.

And such a classy, intelligent parting shot about incestual sex - we are all so proud of you, and the UC Regents must be too. By the way, Kentucky is horse country, not corn country. Take a geography class, or just turn left onto 80 and drive for about 3 days.

They don't teach common sense at davis, just research. Obviously, mcPooh is hung up on status and not substance.

I am still laughing at your pic of the nerds...

Ok, this is going to be kind of a complex concept for you guys at Sac State to comprehend. You know kind of like those word problems your math professors give you guys to work on in groups with the big crayons, just before giving you a graham cracker and milk before nap time.

But, give it a shot all the same. Here it goes:

Lets make the outrageous assumption that Davis students are nerds, as you claim. What does that make Sac State when you've had your arses handed to you time and time again in the Causeway? Do you need me to remind you of the overall record in this series? Or maybe just since '99?

;)
