Coaching Carosel 2018

Former coach at Richmond (beat Griz in championship) and Virginia goes to Wm&Mary. Expect a lot of FBS transfers, that's what London was good at.

William & Mary (FCS – VA): Mike London has now been announced as the program’s new head coach.

Man, I knew it was bad, just not this bad...

Portland State (FCS – OR): Athletic director Valerie Cleary gave head coach Bruce Barnum a vote of confidence following their loss to Eastern Washington, noting “I like the direction we are moving on and off the field,” per The Oregonian. Barnum was promoted to interim head coach in 2015 after posting a 9-3 season, and was named head coach moving forward. Barnum went 3-8 in 2016, 0-11 in 2017 and 4-7 this year.

What a grist mill out there with some of these teams...
Delaware (FCS): Per source, offensive coordinator / running backs coach Matt Simon has been let go. Simon previously spent the six seasons on staff at Buffalo and also has ten seasons experience as an assistant at the NFL level.

Looks like Mike Houston for James Madison has been offered the job at Charlotte. Have to wonder if that'll be a distraction for them on Saturday.

According to one ESPN reporter, he accepted the job. No announcement from the school as yet. Huge distraction and Colgate is no pushover. My upset of the week on the NDSU bracket thread.

A crazy situation developing with Houston. East Carolina fired their HC early because of the Charlotte situation. They also have him as their #1 target.

Houston is a good coach but he rubbed me the wrong way during the selection show a couple Sundays back where he was bitching about not getting a top 8 seed. Sorry dude, you went 8-3 in the regular season. Now he's most likely bailing.

Go Toothpaste U.

Yes, one of those losses was to 4-7 New Hampshire. He has done a good job with JMU but that was a bad impression.
Craig Bohls did a similar transition when he took the Wyoming job while in the playoffs @ NDSU. Who knows how 18-22 year old kids will react. They could rally "for the coach" or check out with the thought "why should I bust my ass, he's leaving anyway?"

Rubbed me the wrong way too. Whiny SOB. Colgates football team has an honest to goodness first class defense, at least the starters.

Colgate took care of that and their reward is a trip to Fargo

Looks like NDSU's coach K is official at K State. $2.3m a year to start. Gotta think Fargo is a hot job opening about now. Will it impact the bizzun as they finish the season?

BOOM.. My son just told me too... He apparently is saying not sure if he would coach a Natty game. Damn

A huge distraction any coach does not need but when Bohls left he finished out the season and came home with the big one, so it can either be a rally, lets get this one for the coach, or a distraction.
The big question is how many asst coaches will he take with him.
