Coaching Carosel 2018

The K State AD, Gene Taylor, was the NDSU AD from 01-14. I believe he'll let Klieman finish the playoff run. There's also rumors that he has to keep a certain number of Snyder assistants, so I believe they'll wind up promoting from within again.

So is Klieman coaching NDSU through the semi's and championship if they go? I've seen a bunch of stuff on K-State's twitter that he was in Manhattan last night addressing the players.

Well Sac State's search is down to four and includes former Eastern coach Troy Taylor. I guess some people on the Utah board have said Taylor has been offered the job.

Sac State's gonna get a lot tougher.

My guess, this is just another step in the process of getting to an FBS HC job for Taylor.

Would agree. Impressive though ...4 years from HS and already a Head of a FCS program.

I always think a coach is better to stay at the FBS level and work their way up there.

Would agree, but maybe he did some calling and they said he needed some HC experience at college level before he could even get sniffs.

Look how long Baldwin was here and very successful yet was overlooked for a number of Pac 12 positions. Leaving a Pac 12 OC position to take a job @ Sac State is not lateral but backward.

He’s from the area. I’ll bet that factored heavily in his decision.

That’s a great hire for Sac St. Wow.

I looked him up on Wikipedia. He coached the high school down the road and grew up near by and he's also likely taking a massive pay cut ($700k at Utah with bonus I think I read). I have a feeling he's set financially and he's here to stay, which is a real bad sign for the rest of the big sky, but also great for the big sky over all.

Eags know how this feels, not sure I wanted to go back, know I wouldn't now. Forward.

I wish I could go back to Saturday at 1:59 PM. Life was so much better then...

Ditto. But EWU seems to have had some succession planning which made a big difference. NDSU also looks to have thought ahead with how quickly they had a coach.

Just saw on Twitter that Reeder has been offered and will accept the OC position at OK State. Good for him!
