Coaching Carosel 2018

I talked with Jr Adams at one of our playoff games. As you may know the entire staff at Western Kentucky was released when the HC was fired. He was still looking at that time.

Junior Adams has already been hired by App State - https://www.journalnow.com/sports/asu/app-state-hires-former-western-kentucky-offensive-coordinator-junior-adams/article_bf91356e-121d-11e9-965b-b78b10553115.html

As for our OC... what about Erik Meyer? He's an analyst on the Cal Bears staff now I believe. I'd look his way. Hell I'd look at Nik Edwards too. But I could see both of those guys wanting to stick close to Baldwin and follow that train.

I do like the idea of keeping it an EKG though.

Nick Edwards crossed my mind too.

Either Nik Edwards or Erik Meyer would be great choices in my opinion. On the other hand, none of us had ever heard of Boady before Best hired him so he may have someone else in mind.

Isn't being OC and play calling quite a leap from receivers coach or offensive advisor?

You would be a fool not to want this OC job! Think about the sick numbers that are going to be put up over the next two years with EB3....I predict better then VA and Gage....which is saying a lot.

I'm sure it's a big leap, but if you take Nik, he's been learning under a great playcaller in BB. And Meyer has experience calling plays (HS). They gotta come from somewhere.

Just saw this......Good for Bodie! Any one with thoughts on who may fill his shoes?

Wow... is this for certain? If so, good for him. He'd have to be elated with his own progress. He was brought here to be a QB coach two years ago, wound up getting the coordinator job within a few months only because Salanoa left. There's no doubt he's done a great job.

I've heard a few complaints about Reeder's play calling, nothing I'd call factual though. I'm hoping that Reeder stays in Cheney for a few more years, might be best for him, best for the Eags, also give him the opportunity to assist EB in reaching his highest potential, but then ............................? Wouldn't hurt Reeder's resume to make a winning trek to Frisco.

One thing that I would caution for him is going to a program where the coach potentially could get fired in the next year. That was not a great season last year for the Cowboys would hate to have him go there and then have the coach get canned at the end of season...unlikely because of a 5 year contract but anything is possible.

Looks like Junior Adams had a short stay with App and is being hired at Washington as the WR coach according to Fooball Scoop

According to football scoop Beau remains as OC at Cal but is also given the QB coach title. I didn't realize he wasn't, but that could help Cal's Offense. The other interesting thing is that Nick Edwards was moved to RB's coach.

Their RB's having trouble catching the ball out of the backfield on swing passes? That's a staple in Beau's offense, and the only reason I can think of to move Nick there. Odd.
